Anyone want to wire a aux cord into stock GMC radio ?

Just thought I would share how to wire in a aux cord to a gmc or Chevy stock radio for under 10 dollars as long as you have the Xm radio option . Not going to post pics or anything until I know someone wants to know lol. Don't want to waste my time lol. Just let me know and I will try my best to show you. I have it in my truck and I've never had a problem. Thanks Bell

02burb that is another way to wire it up but I found a easier way than that to wear you don't have to tear into anything just connect three wires and hide your cord wherever you want it and your jamming. I will post all the info with pictures after work today. I think I spent 12 bucks and it took 10 minutes to do.

I have Bose speakers as we'll all you need to have is the Xm radio option and it will work I'm going to upload everything here in the next two hours sorry been busy.

okay so im going to try my best to explain this for yall.

1: You will need to go to radio shack or whatever store you want and buy some tie in connecters and a aux cord ( I bought a normal aux cord and cut the Female end off) You will need about 4 to 5 feet depending on where you want to run the cord after.

2: Drop your glove box by opening the glove box and pushing the one tab inwards on the right side on the glove box.

3: In the upper right side you will see a medal box with one connector that is your XM radio receiver.(see Pictures)

4: The AUX cord will have three wires and that's all you need for this job. the wires you will be connecting are as follows:
From the XM receiver BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE (to the smaller wire on the AUX CORD which is the signal wire)
From the XM receiver GREEN WITH WHITE STRIPE ( to one of the two wires left on the AUX cord does not matter which one)
From the XM receiver BROWN WITH WHITE STRIPE (to the last and final wire on the AUX cord)

5: Hide your cord wherever you want, I ran my down the center console and into the storage area. (see Pictures)

6: This is the last step to test it out turn to your XM radio setting and go to the radio ID station (this cuts out all the static) and you should be all set to play your ipod.
