Highrise intakes are not good for trucks. Highrise intakes are for High RPM engines where the power is in the 6000+ rpms. You will be slower off the line than a smart car trying to move the weight of a truck.

No need unless you're pushing some boost. A cam and blower is better bang for the buck. More on a budget? just do a cam.

I have headers, CAI, exhaust, underdrive pulley, and a cam and I picked up about 100 wheel HP. All the mods cost round $2K for everything and I did the installs myself. Oh and a good tune.

A little more off the line power but not that much. It's also a little less rotating mass. For the price of the underdrive pulley you can swap to e-fans which would be better and add about the same amount of torque.

Waste without a cam. Wont work on his 01 unless he is a rare one with drive by wire.

Sent from a jelly bean.

Jenn it works on my 2001 but I am drive by wire also and had to get the adpator from Texas Speed. I also have heads and cam too

He can run a cable 90mm TB. Holley, Edelbrock, Nick Williams, all make TBs.

What cam you going with? Stall?

Go with a TBSS/NNBS intake. Cheaper and better. You will need to modify your rails, or use a 97/98 Vette fuel filter and the newer rails, and make spacers to use your injectors, or get harness adapters and run the newer ones.
