When I got back into my Denali I turn the ac on in the front and it works fine just the rear when I turn my over head control knob on nothing no air or anything but was working ten minutes ago but no air at all now. Are there any fuse or relays? What could be wrong?

Is NOTHING working back there at all, meaning no air flow? Or do you just not get any COLD air flow?

Have you tried it from the rear passenger controls to see if it works when controlled from there?

Are you talking about the controls by the sunroof for the rear cause those are the only ones I know of. What others are there?

No air at all

You should have some controls for the rear passengers as well, behind your center console.

Sorry. Thought the Denali would have the controls also in the rear.

I would imagine there to be a fuse, check you manual.

I thought there would be rear controls on the back of the middle console of the front seats. If you have it in manual you can adjust the air heat and everything from behind. Are you 100% sure there is not controls.

The Front AC works correct so were looking at a Vacuum Problem or a solenoid is not opening up to allow air to Flow to the rear. Does heat flow back there? Or is it both air and heat has no flow. If its only the Air its a solenoid not actuating to let the cold air flow, if there is no heat or cool air the rear fan is not blowing and that is your culprit. So do you have heat back their but no air or do you don't have any airflow at all?

Check the front fuse panel (under the hood) there is a rear hvac fuse that should be the one that would go out if it's a fuse. Not sure why we are blaming actuators or vacuum problems yet when he has not checked the fuse or the controls.

This forums pictures suck when loading them though tapatalk

Because if a fuse blown something else would have went out on the guy. If it turns out to be electrical he is in the ***** because what would have blown it. Rarely does this come with one problem others will follow and if he gets ac in the front the back it is ran off of vacuum in 2002 so its either vacuum hose is disconnected or the actuator is not opening to allow the air flow back to the Rear. School is good for people. Make people educated

Other than checking fuses I have no answers. I take things apart until I understand them and figure out the problem. So I have no answers for you. zieglerj-pdm-specialist seems to have some answers maybe he will help out.

I agree with Vette Check for fuses

Check for fuses just to make 100% nothing is blown. And if there is nothing wrong electrically I would look for two fans one fan for the front the other for the rear if it has one. Just following up on Vette's recommendations. Actually there has to be two fans because if you have it on high in the back its not on high in the back. Vettes right look for fuse and then the second blower fan for the rear. The have to be close because they both would run off the same condenser and heater. Which means it would have two different solenoid actuators to mix the air correctly. Follow it back to the fan if the fuse is not blown and the fan is usually on the firewall or behind the cubby hole. Keep me posted on what you find and Ill do my best to help you out from there. Good luck and don't hesitate to write with any questions. Take Care man.
