I picked up a set of husky mudguards for my truck off CL recently and I'm going to paint them body color. I was wondering if I should paint the inside of the mudguards too. If I do paint the insides, I think it might look funny looking at them from the front of the truck (black wheel wells and pewter guards). What do you guys think? Any opinions are appreciated.

not the insides. those will be hit with rocks and stuff (the reason you're putting them on) so they stay black

I see paint chips on your future. No matter how much flex you put in the paint, it never lasts. I bought guards for my burb, which is pewter, I didn't like the look of the black guards on the painted fender flares. Looks ok on dark colors. The latest GM guards are flat blades and look stealth and don't overlap the side of the flares. I want some.

Sanded the texture off and painted the rear mudguards. Didn't have time to do the fronts yet. Now got to find some time to remove the wheels and drill one extra mounting hole and install.
