What will be the problem if my scanner can not read data stream on my 2002 Tahoe. It can read it on my other cars. Can the inboard computer be an issue?

Check the fuses. I had the same problem and it turned out that a fuse was blown. I think its the same fuse thats for the cig lighter or aux input.

Really? Wow I checked all fuses under hood I need to check the other ones tomorrow. By any chance did your cluster gauge act weird when it didn't work? My abs and battery light comes on and the gas gauge would go crazy and no data stream. Thanks

It was one on the driver's side that blew. My Guages was acting normal when it happened.

The fuse is under the hood, there should be a group of them in a triangle on the drivers side.

Sure was that fuse.

Got it read. I have a P0446 code and no idea where to start.

You have a part number?

Ok looks like the pickup models have the remote mount filter and the SUV bodies use a better vent valve with a revised internal filter.

Revised bracket P/N 15105605

Revised Vent Valve P/N 10382105

PM me if you want a copy of the TSB which includes pictures and installation instructions. EDIT: only the pickup model TSB included pictures

Keep in mind this doesn't take the place of a proper diagnosis, at work I would smoke test the evap system and command the vent valve on and off multiple times.. they typically get stuck after a few tries.
