Ipod use with radio

I seen alot of guys use ipads with there headunits and use apps such as netflix and others is it the same deal with ipod touch or is the ipad just far more advanced? Because i was thinking about getting a galaxy tab but found a deal on ipod touch but not really use to the apple os. Thanks for the help

I'm biased, and the apple vs (insert competitor here) argument can go on for pages. I have an iPad 2 and a 4s, just bought my girlfriend an iPad. My brother has the galaxy note. I would not trade.
Love my apple products and never have had an issue. Thats not to say other operating systems have any problems. The apple OSX is very easy to use and has great app support.
I would however consider my iPad just a big iPod touch. Do I like the huge screen? Yes? Does it do more than an iPod touch? Not that I'm aware of.

As far as any other operating systems go, I'm sure some other members here can chime in on those.

I run my iPhone with it yes.

witch head unit are you looking at?? If its a new Pioneer you can run a Ipad2 off of it but just the music and videos. Same with the android. both will need the special cables to get the head unit to run them. I have a Ipad2 and Android phone. I like the android better. The main problem I have with apple is dam itunes! I work on all computer OS's and ITunes is the pain in my day. IMO get witch ever you feel more comfortable with.

Man i love this headunit never had a problem.with the only downfall is i cant Bluetooth stream music from my phone i wouldnt mind a double din eaither but i feel the same way dont really feel like chopping up a dash maybe ill give my girl mine and install double din
