When I bought the Tahoe ('09 LT), I didn't get a truck with the rear seat video system. Now that the wife and I had a baby, we eventually want to get one installed. Which have you guys gone with? Stock or aftermarket? And what kind of cost am I looking at? Not sure if it matters, but I have a moonroof. Appreciate the advice.

With aftermarket you'll probably get better quality/bigger screen for the same $$$.
I believe with the factory systems the single screen is about $1200, and $1800 or so for the dual headrest screens.

Thanks. That's one of the reasons I ask. I didn't want to spend a big money on the stock system if there was a better aftermarket system. At the same time I want to remember that this will be to entertain a small child so I don't need the highest quality system.

I got a 13" DVD player installed in my truck when I bought it. It is much larger than the stock. I don't think it is a expensive unit. It works great and my son loves it.

I have the rear seat entertainment drop down LCD screen in both my avalanche and escalade and honestly I wish I just had them in my head rests. If I were you I'd go with a set of factory headrest LCD's. My one year old loves it but it's right in the way of the rear view mirror so it bugs the crap out of me :/

I agree with Felix. Headrests for the win. I've had my Yukon for over a year and I still have the plastic on my flip down.
