Previous Rental Fleet voids warranty?

I bought 2011 tahoe. it was used before in a rental fleet according to carfax. is my factory warranty voided?

No, you should be good, but if it was for fleet use the car probably almost has 36,000 miles anyway.

Take it to the dealer. Shifting issues can be caused by many things and since it was a fleet use it may have been previously abused pretty good.

In my experience, they need a reason to look at something. Some dealers know of common problems and can help you articulate what you might be experiencing in other areas to help them justify checking them out.

Chevy Fleet autos have a 5 year 100k powertrain warranty. Seeing your under the 3 year 36 k...you still may be covered for powertrain for the next 4 years and 68k miles.

My 08 Tahoe with 60k has a remaining fleet warranty. I have 40k or 13 months remaining. The warranty ( from a chevy dealer) stated the warranty simply goes with the next owner.

Yeah mine was a former rental car. They basically keep it while under complete warranty then trade them back in. But yeah your power train warranty I still good

As for the dealership checking out everything for free, it is up to the individual dealersihps whether they do this or not, most will not just check them out for free just to make you feel better. But, if they find an issue that is covered under the warranty then yes, the diagnostic fees should be included on the warranty coverage. But if they can't find anything wrong with it then you may have to pay for the diagnostics, especially if they connect to it with the Tech II scanner.
