Do you know the "hub" that connects the wheel to the rim

"brake hub" in the rear and front

Can I sand the rust of then paint it silver with my caliper cleaner and paint

Right in front of the rotor behind the wheel face is a rusty hub looking thing should I sand it and paint it

If I understand you correctly you are talking about the part of the brake rotor which slips over the wheel hub. If you want it painted go buy new rotors and start from there so you dont have to worry about the just and stuff that arnt very expensive. Or buy high quality one that come powder coated if its a big deal to you.

Ahhh ok yes I know what your talking about I did that to my rear rotors it's was silver and didn't match the front black Wilwood hat so I sanded it hit it with a wire brush 2 coats of flat black an 2 coats of glossy black about 800miles later still looks new

Silver will look nice too an g2 works great one can may not be enough for the calipers and rotor hub also while your king that an the rims are off you should paint the wheel wells gloss black gives it a fresh look
