Okay so after much research I've decided how to do my sas on my 2 door yukon. I called up my local junkyard and they have a few Ford kingpin Dana 60's for $190 and that's with a 6 month warranty. So since I finally got some time off college I'm planning on buying one and slowly rebuild it with 4.10 gears if it doesn't already have them and a locker. I'm gonna mount it under my truck by using a pair or rear s10 leaf springs and 2" add-a-leafs for a total lift height of about 8". I'll be getting driveshafts done by a local shop and I'm using 37-12.5-16.5 Goodyear Wrangler MT's with H1 rims(although I know they are heavy). Out back I'll probably use a pair of superlift 8" leaf springs.
My only question so far is if anyone knows of any overhaul kits with all the seals and kingpin parts.

How's he in the wrong forum? This is a technical build. Not "Should I replace my air filter with a KN?". Please inform me about how this won't have any tech involved in it.

This should have tech, not question/answer threads that are more suited for general or 4x4. I'm going to start posting the link in every thread that doesn't fit. Quite annoying when I'm searching....

Anyways, S-10 springs aren't going to work well under a fullsize truck. I would rethink which springs you choose. They bottom out with 200 lbs in the back of an S-10; what makes you think they will be able to support a heavy tahoe?

I want to know where to find a 79 Ford F350 kingpin Dana 60 for $190 with a 6 month warranty, but I have no idea where to look.

This guy did it this way on his and it worked good, it's soft but it seems that it isn't too excessive. I'm using add-a-leafs also on the springs, in case they sag too much I'll just order a set of new front springs from summit.

It's one of the U-Pull-It Junkyards.

To find that axle in any condition for less than 800 bucks is a steal.
This--^

i would buy all of them to resell if i could find them local for under $200. hell there would be one under my Hoe as well.

and your going to run 37's on 4.10's? im running my 35's on 4.88's...

I still wouldn't use s10 springs. The chances of them wearing out too quick is very high. Why buy twice?

I also doubt the $190 dana 60. The price list might say $190 for a front axle but when you cart up a dana 60 the price is going to jump. They tend to do that on valuable stuff. They will also charge you for all the other parts like tie rods, tie rod ends, rotors, calipers, brake pads, brake lines, u joints, driveshaft, etc. They are jews.

depends on who's working at our u-pull-it yards up here. sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you get fuked and they charge you for every little piece. only been getting worse.

have had my eye out for front and rear axles. have seen a ton of 14bff'ers but not any D60's.

still don't see how the front of that truck won't crush a set of S10 springs... have a set of them in the garage right now for the sonoma and theres no way in hell i would even consider them for even mock up on the Hoe.

So I wasn't able to go buy the axle because somethings came up with our suburban and had to fix that plus our lovely engineering professors decided to give projects during the vacation to turn in first thing on Monday.
I'm still planning on buying one as soon as my paycheck gets here.

I also doubt the $190 dana 60..
I called and told them all I needed and that's what they quoted me for.

The factory ratio for an h2 is 4:10-1.
Also I just picked up another axle out of a 79 f250 for 300 bucks for my wifes Tahoe.
