Continue with OEM Magneride or just go with Arnotts?

Bought a pair of ACDELCO BWI struts from Rock Auto to replace on my 15 Tahoe LTZ for around $1600 for the assemblies(front and rear) Adding up all the parts I'll have to buy to assemble it (strut mounts, bump stomps, insulators) puts me at a additional $330 if I wanted to do it right and build it with new parts. A local shop quoted me a additional $80 to swap the springs. So that's additional cost to factor in.

When everything is said and done they're both about 2k.

I'm vastly approaching Arnott MR 3840 prices where the strut is assembled and ready to go. Which direction would you recommend going??

I bought OEM struts and swapped out my own spring. I borrowed 2 sets of spring compressors from Advanced. The Arnott setup raised the front about 1.5” and didn’t ride well.

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics of the truck, please.

You are already receiving sage advice from the knowledgeable folks on this Forum.

I've had both the GM active suspension and a passive aftermarket suspension on this truck, and I greatly prefer the GM active suspension. In full transparency, though, there are folks on this Forum who prefer aftermarket suspensions.

Stick with OEM. I did not have a great experience with Arnott, but it was for shocks in the rear.

They never connected right the rear air-ride and burned out my rear air ride suspension pump.

I would not view the Arnott’s as an upgrade by any means.

I went the opposite
I had the Fox shocks/struts installed. The ride is the same as before my original shocks crapped out.
For me cost was part of the decision. Factory parts were double compared with aftermarket. That’s not counting the compressor.

I replaced all 4 shocks with magna-ride-type aftermarket from O'Reilly myself, but I still get error message the suspension needs service. Do they need to be programed by the Dealer?

To answer my own question, NO. Magna-ride shocks for 2015 Yukon Denali do not need to be programed after install.

But you shouldn’t have an error code if they’re factory replacements. Is it still there? If so mostly one of the connectors is off or loose.

Are you sure you got magnaride rears or did you get passive replacements that are generally much cheaper then the true active replacement shocks
