There would only be one electronics box under under you drivers seat and it would be the power amplifier.

Here is the diagram for the original system:

I am having the same problem after installing new head unit. I also used a wiring harness. I looked under drivers seat and saw a bulge under the carpet with wires going to it. I unplugged the harnes and the power seats stop working. Does this "bulge under the carpet" control the power seats as well as the amp? I have a 1997 GMC Yukon slt. I have power leather seat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The rear roof speakers are working just not the rear door speakers. I was planning on upgrading to a little better speakers all the way around. I don't know what is involved in hard wiring speakers to the deck so I don't want to go that route unless I have to. I just bought a cheap pioneer DEH-1300MP so I could play songs off my phone. Any recommended speakers would also help me out to thanks in advance. I come from a back ground of jeeps and rock crawling. Know all about suspensions just not radios. Just looking for good sound.

Ha, The amp is a bigger bulge if it has not been removed and would have its own connector. Apply 12volts to the pink wire on factory in-dash radio harness to see if Amp turns on.

I am 99% sure that I do not have a amp. So what else could it be? This is my thoughts..... The wiring harness only has right rear -+, left rear -+, right front -+, left front -+. So I am wondering if the wiring harness does not have a out put for the rear doors. I used all the wires that came with the cd player but I had three wires left over on the harness labeled power antena , dash light, and dimmer light on the harness. I am pretty handy with the solder gun and wiring ( I have wired some pretty complex rc air planes). I just need some help on this one. How do I get power to the rear door speakers?

if your vehicle has rear roof speaker working and front doors but not rear side doors, I am 99% sure you have an amp or had it before someone removed it. If you system was built without it the rear side and roof would have been run and wired parallel wire so both sets would be working unless you happen to blow them out. The pink wire I mentioned would have been in the original factory vehicle wiring. Also where the parallel runs were spliced are buried behind the dash in the cross body harness.
