4l80 swap

just wondering... if the tranny goes and we all no the 4l60 sucks ass lol would it be worth it too replace it with a 4l80? are they much more expensive? and is it pretty much just plug and play??

haha no way... but you think it would be much more than 2 grand??... thats how much a 4l60 is roughly installed

Lol, a brand new 4L80E costs about $2000 by itself, not counting installation labor charges or other parts, although if you plan on having a shop swap out your 4L60E for a 4L80E, then maybe they will give you some kind of credit or core refund or something for the 4L60E?

yeaa tru... well if my tranny goes then i will prob upgrade to a 4l80.. escpially the yukon im looking at now wit 23's on it i dont feel like playing games wit the 4l60 its kinda crappy tranny lol
