Well i have been looking at lowering my 2005 z71 2wd tahoe with a 3/5 drop. I have seen tons of kits from kits that only havetorsion keys and springs to kits with control arms, shocks, and all these different things.... I talked to someone who had a yukon and all he did was replace the rear springs and toghten or loosen his front keys and that looked perfect. Can someone tell me what i really need to buy-do to get the drop?

if he just messed with his factory torsion keys he probably only got a inch or 2 of lowering out of it but its not going to ride good, the proper way of doing it is to get lowering keys with shocks or get lowering spindles with lowering coils in the rear with lowering shocks......get in-touch with NORCAL SS on here, he can hook you up with what you need and for a good price...

I know this is probably a dumb question but is that the cheapest kit?

the kit I have with shocks will be the cheapest I have seen. Due to the rear being so low you need new shocks and front a arms come with the djm shocks also.

If you dont want shocks and try out your stock shocks then it would be 635 shipped to your door.

and the ride on my 3/5.5 set up is really nice might as well do it one time and be done with it.

if you want the 3/5 djm with the blue regular tahoe rear springs I can do the complete kit for 785 shipped. and if you see the complete kit for less shipped shoot me a link and I will beat anyones shipped to price

Will not buying the shocks make it a rougher ride?

raer shocks are needed due to such a massive drop stock shocks will bottom out. in front stock shocks will bottom out with the djm a arms also. shocks will make the ride 10x better.

on the autoride trucks you will get about 4.75 inches you will need to modify the links shorter.

Hi the! Hows the lowering doing? What kit did you got?
Actually, if you haven't lowered your truck yet, I would suggest the Belltech Stage 3 lowering kits for trucks. It already includes lowering components needed to get your truck sitting low and pretty, and it also includes a set of Belltech's street performance shocks.

my custom djm 3/5.5 kit sits lower and rides better. the belltech kit for 3/5 you use keys in front with spindles which ride isnt as good as the djms and rear at the 5 inch drop you need the trailing arm links/swaybar relocators which djm makes.

I sell both kits belltech and djm and for the 00-06 tahoes the djm 3/5.5 kit ive sold on here rides better.

3/4 is what i want. I figured i can cut the rear springs and then do the whole turning the keys thing in the front. Is that possible? What do u do with the keys in the front?

wont align in front by turning keys.
rear you cant cut that much from the spring to get that drop ride horrible and springs will pop out.

Honestly the djm 3/5.5 custom drop kit I sell will ride great lower it the right way and comes with all brand new shocks all around

Here you go.
