Something tells me those are both pre-AFM engines? Really good drivetrains until GM ruined them.

Yeah? Well, you love your "hoe" more than I love my "hoe". I hope my "hoe" gets beyond her disruptive stage and gets her not-so-fine self straightened out. She be goin' through ALL my money!!

They could easily be AFM engines. Yeah, many have issues with AFM, but in the big picture, it's not as bad as it seems. The AFM/DOD equipped 5.3 Vortex was built from what, '05 to '21. They made millions of them. And you know how it is. We only hear about it when they go bad. You seldom hear anyone saying they didn't have any issues with AFM. Well, I'll start... I sold my first AFM 5.3 Tahoe when it had 310,000 miles on it. That was before COVID. It's still going with over 400k on it now. No AFM issues. My current AFM Tahoe's have 150,000 and 260,000 miles on them. No issues. :)
