I am very seriously considering a 2025 Tahoe (trim and engine TBD). I have watched all the videos and read all the articles, but I want to hear from actual owners the complaints you have against the vehicle.

I’m talking stuff you don’t really consider until you live with it everyday. Any personal experience or minor annoyances that others should consider is appreciated!
I have an lz0 ‘25 sierra and a ‘24 5.3 yukon… i towed an rv to new mexico last week.. lz0 really used a lot of def.. and got 10 mpg. Yukon gets 9 mpg.. doing the same tow. I would probably get the lz0. 100k warranty. No real bugs yet.. i have 4k on each unit. I like them both. I got 12k off the sierra and 9k off on the yukon.. good luck.

Thank you for the video but they are literally taking apart 1/3 of the dash to install this thing. The chances of breaking a clip, losing a screw or not putting something back properly aligned is a real concern for me I'm going to try another solution. Last thing I need is to create a squeak or rattle because I took something apart.

This is way too much work and someone who is not familiar with removing dashboards and interior trim panels will probably break something! Plus there is the possibility of causing an irritating rattle or noise.

For 2024 and under there is a plug in and no disassembly plus the benefit of running full time V8. Carbyte will probably have one for the 2025 soon.

Auto stop eliminator can be installed on a ‘25 without pulling the dash apart. It’s a finger tip operation thru a single side panel that pops off. If your patient, dexterous and have good near vision.

2025 Tahoe HC here.

My gripes thus far:

- Auto start/stop like everyone else. I'm not ripping my dash apart. Hopefully there will be a simpler (CarBytes) option available soon.

- Audio system quality. My last gen Tahoe sounded better. Yukon/Sierra just got an OTA software update for infotainment that apparently drastically improved the quality of the Bose system. Hopefully Chevrolet sees this same update soon. I wish GMC would part ways with Bose though.

- DIC customization sucks. You are very limited in what panels you can show on the DIC and it all has to be customized through the main screen. You should be able to toggle through gauges, screen more easily directly from the steering wheel. The UI/UX sucks. Again, hopefully to be fixed via software.

Overall, it's been a fantastic vehicle. I have the 3.0L and while highway mileage is great (~30mpg), city driving is still not great. I think I'm seeing like 15MPG or so with lots of start/stop driving. Maybe that is to be expected though.

Anybody reading this about the auto-stop eliminator it is WAY easier installation on the Yukon than that video on the Tahoe! No screen display to remove, all done on the left end of the dash, removing the A/C vent, end panel a small trim piece and a few screws. They really need to do a video for the 2025 Yukon!

We've had our Premier 3.0 for a few weeks now. My only gripes are that the auto engine start/stop has to be turned off with each ignition start

Obviously I can't comment on all vehicles, but in the 4-5 vehicles I interact with, weekly, none of them have a permanent way to disable start/stop (as of this post).

Recently, this was announced.

I just want to have an option to have it default to off, by default, they can absolutely do this with software, but who knows how high on the list it is. I'd like to see it addressed in an OTA update.

I have a 2025 HC with air suspension and 24's.

- I would like to have the option to keep the vehicle at entry/exit height all the time.
- I am told that there is static on the line/call when using the hands free calling in the vehicle.
- Dual tail pipes are off. The driver side tail pipes hang a tad lower than the passenger side tail pipes. I've seen many 2025 owner's with this comment. It might not be all driver side, but they do comment on the tail pipes not being aligned with the other side.
- When you are in full screen navigation (meaning, not splitting/sharing screen) the radio station and/or source is not shown on the screen. When I change stations, I don't know which one I'm on. Usually I will split the screen to show audio on the left and navigation in the middle, but you lose certain navigation features, for example, zooming in and out with your fingers.
- Having two gas icons on the main driver display.
- Not having the ability to add more information displays in the center of the main driver display.
- Slow response time from disabling/enabling rear lift gate

See these threads for more info on my last two points.

Doesn't the stop start eliminator void warranty?

They don't even know it is there, you can still push the button and put it back to normal factory stop start when taking it in to dealer. I never had any issue with it on my 2022 Yukon.

I get that part, but if they ever 'found out' couldn't they void warranty work?

It’s no different than pushing the button every time you get it in. The ASE just does it for you…

With all due respect, that wasn't what I asked.

I understand that part.

Just a few, but they're easily fixed. Engine Stop-Start. Fortunately, the EPA is no longer requiring this, but it may take some time before GM drops it. There's a couple of gadgets sold that will defeat engine stop start. One goes under the hood, the other behind the dash. I use the one that goes behind the dash because the switch still works. It just remembers your decision. The other is daytime running lights. At the time of purchase, you can specify that your dealer have the daytime running lights disabled. This is usually done automatically anytime the government purchases a vehicle. You will notice police cars rarely have daytime running lights. You can still turn them on manually if you wish. The engine cannot be idle for more than 20 minutes. There is a procedure for defeating this. The car will not stay in accessory mode for more than 20 minutes. This is really annoying at drive-in movie theaters. Yes, there are still 400 drive-in movie theaters in America.

I don't understand the DRL delete. Are the DRL the LEDs or an actual headlamp?

to void a warranty the 'mod' needs to cause harm
for example, add a supercharger then the transmission started slipping, they argument will be that the added power caused the slippage

disabling start/stop isn't causing harm, i.e. the warranty isn't going to be voided

@steiny93 explained it better than me. It's impossible for it to cause harm to the vehicle - warranty work can be denied if an aftermarket part is directly or indirectly responsible for the failure.

Headlights on my 25 Tahoe are ridiculously bright. If you pay attention when on a two lane road, the vertical field of lighting on low beams still crosses over the oncoming driver's face on any sedan. With high beams on I'm pretty sure you can see from the ISS.

My gripes-
- auto start needs to be toggled every time you start the engine. I really do not like this feature having the LZ0
- ability to customize a lot of the display. The OLED screen is gorgeous and I really hate how boilerplate everything is
-- driver dash screens can change in some areas to show "gauges" for engine temp, oil temp, MPG etc. There is a 3 column view that one would think could be customized to about anything but for example you cannot put up the rpm/tach, a smaller map, radio view, climate etc. If you have Waze fullscreen on the main screen, you cannot see what is playing on XM (or I've not been able to figure it out yet)
-- you cannot put the native waze app (nor any android auto app) on any two/three column view. You cannot see any android apps or native android apps at all on the driver dash with exception of google maps
-- the two column main dash view (where one would think would have the most utility) has only three cards you can change between. Really? No splits for map app/climate/radio/fuel economy screens?
- Agree with above re: brakes. The brakes are SOFT. I know the pads have to bed in but when we rolled off of the dealer lot I almost rolled out into a busy intersection. 4k miles later, they're still super soft compared to any other vehicle I've driven.
- I had to put together a raspberry pi with some external storage to play movies on the rear entertainment screens. There is no reason this could not play straight from a USB drive- you know, like it's 1995 again. The web browser and Youtube work fine so I think this is meant to push you toward an on$tar subscription. I have not found that you can add any apps to rear screens so you have only Youtube, youtube kids and a web browser. That really limits the value of a subscription
- Nitpick, but steering wheel is THICC - Gotten used to it now and not really an annoyance but did feel odd initially
- Cannot toggle air brake - only works in tow/haul mode but I really could not notice or hear it being active on downslopes while towing a two axle trailer

Overall, would buy with the LZ0 in a heartbeat. The adaptive cruise is leagues better than the Highlander we traded from, especially in traffic. The active suspension blows my mind every time I get into it (especially so as my main vehicle is a Silverado). My 7 year old noticed the difference- they were with me in my truck a couple weeks ago and said "Dad, your car is SO bumpy!"
I have not purchased yet but I agree that the brakes are soft.
I rolled through the first stop sign before I got used to them.
