my unit 2023 Yukon and my 2019 just keep your finger on tge push button till the dash reads "auto stop cancelled". The reason for this feature is if by accident the unit starts in your garage. Years ago I knew a couple in Florida who died cause they forgot to turn off the unit.

the reason for the feature is emissions. My 21 will auto shut off from idle (even if I have been driving) when parked after a number of minutes.

I installed one of these on my Tahoe that was less than 3 hours old. I purchased the one that goes behind the dash. The override button still works. The difference is it permanently remembers your decision. This is a great safety feature that will help the engine last longer and improve safety.

My last few drives I noticed something but I’m curious to see if it’s the same for others. I don’t have the eliminator.

If I come to a red light or stop sign and press the brake pedal enough to stop and hold the truck at a stop it doesn’t turn off. However, if i press the pedal completely it turns off. Can someone else try this and report back? I’m sure GM wouldn’t design it this way.

Try this when starting it keep you finger on the button till you see the sign on the dash. Auto stop disengaged

I sure will. Does it remember that or does it revert back on the next key cycle? It's hard to believe folks would spend money of start/stop eliminators if this does the job. Any tips to turn off DFM?

I have them on all of our vehicles, and all of the fleet vehicles. If you drive around town and you sit at stop lights constantly, you will find in a few days your battery is dead. Adding this eliminated that issue, and I don't have to futz with pressing a button every time I start it.

Any idea if you can do this with Yukon fog lights for when the auto-headlights turn on?

I have them on all of our vehicles, and all of the fleet vehicles. If you drive around town and you sit at stop lights constantly, you will find in a few days your battery is dead. Adding this eliminated that issue, and I don't have to futz with pressing a button every time I start it.

Battery being dead is not going to happen. The auto start stop will not activate if the battery is charging or below a set perimeter.

I did add a device years ago that made my fog lights (and low beams) activate when the high beams were on while the auto dim feature was enabled on my 20RST. You might Google and see what pops up.
