With only 10K miles, my 2023 6.2L died and would not restart - conditions not ready to shift.
This is after my 2021 suburban had lifters fail after 23K miles.

+1. I think the universe is telling you to buy a different brand, or an older well kept model with less issues.

It's sad to see a mfg that used to make top quality stuff go downhill. Cost cutting only goes to far.....

Really sorry you going through this. Absolutely insane. Proof that its inevitable in the new generation which has 16 of these lifters. Just a matter of time. I dont know how GM is getting away with this? 4 years!!!!! No recall, no extended warranty, no compensation, ridiculous.

I really enjoy our yukon, but I wouldn't be able to do it again after this if I were you. Problem is there aren't really many good options for this size car outside of GMC/Chevy.

If you still want to stay in one, I'd be looking at my favorite model of the last 7 I owned and then searching for a very nicely kept one with low miles, and just enjoy life in a different era when things were simple and worked.

Maybe the 17- 20 model years? Good clean one would work fine in my book. I know the newer ones have more bells and whistles, but that all breaks too.

Seems to be just the 6.2 having bottom end problems. I could be wrong, but I don’t think I’ve heard of low mileage spun mains on the 5.3.

Both have had their fair share of DFM lifter failures.

Thats what I think too...and seems to be more in the 2023 model year than others?

Only asking as I am sporting around in my 2022 w/ the 6.2...
Up side I have is my dealer includes "unlimited powertrain warranty" on every car they sell...I've read the contract...net is: Internally lubricated parts for engine, transfer case, transmission, and differentials...which in the case of this rig...is a really good thing to have!

Their lifter issues seem to be getting worse, not better, as one would expect‍.

You will likely get faster resolution through the buyback process. I would not try to stay with that particular rig. GM will buy you out and then fix it on their own time to later resell.
I have tried to open a buy back claim. GM telling me they want to fix it.
