I cleaned off the ABS sensor magnet - it had a lot of crap on it. Now I can drive again w/o the ABS kicking in when I am slowing to a stop and the rotor & caliper don't overheat and cook my brake fluid.

Yup... Turned out I was. See my other post from Friday 5/27 for photos.I have a sneaky feeling that you r in for a new wheel hubs![]()
I can't wait til it's done. Can't wait to hear your 1st impression of your new found power!Installed the baseline tune for the new components today.. Checked with FTI, to ensure the torque converter is indeed correct for the Yukon, and it is, so that's good. Still waiting for the trans to arrive in PA, so they can swap the output shaft and ship it back. ugh.. I'm going to have 2x the driving back and forth due to this, but not trying to reschedule the truck, loaders, etc.. Guess I'll move all my crap, drop it off at the new place, and drive back to pickup the Yukon, and drive her back to Tx then. Lol. I was really hoping to have a few days to make sure all is 100% before leaving town.

This is not true. Limited lifetime means as long as you own the car and no damage to the part that would come from incidents outside it's normal operating condition. Now nobody wants to just throw parts under warranty at a problem. My evap leak came back, wracking my head trying to figure out what it is. Decide to check the purge valve, even though I just replaced it last year. Yep. Bad. 1 year and 1 month. Thanks Dorman. Luckily I had my receipt from Autozone so they swapped it with a new one. "Just one time though" they said at the shop. "Limited" Lifetime warranty means you get 1 new one, and that's all. Heh. Actively going to avoid Dorman in the future.

Advance Auto pulls the same crap with warranties. The manager at Autozone specifically told me that the "Limited" part of the warranty means they will only replace it one time. F*ckers. If it fails again I am not going to go back and argue with them for a $40 solenoid that failed twice. I'll end up getting it somewhere else, and hopefully a properly manufactured one. Usually I don't bother with Autozone but this was one of those cases I wanted to get the job finished that day.
