I want to put TV's in the second row headrests, but I don't know if those metal pieces that hold up the stock headrest can be removed because when the seats are flipped down the headrests fold back.

Anyone know how I can pull off headrest tv's in the second row?

I would like to avoid cutting into the stock leather headrests.

The one's I have seen with 2nd row tvs are the earlier rear seats with lift out headrests... obviously they gave up the ability to fold the rear seats for 'ball-ability'.

Pioneer used to have brackets that would attach to the posts to hold their monitors.

Honestly though, I wouldn't.
If you were to ever carry anything in the back, or if you folded the seat so someone could get in the 3rd row, their feet would be right against your monitor.

I have an overhead 7" for my 3rd row passengers. It is MOSTLY out of the way of the rearview mirror when down.

I don't have a third row. Took it out for my subs and box.

Then what are the screens for? Show? You'd be better off with a flip down. You won't be able to see anything from outside the back window with some 7ish inch screens

The screens will be 10.2"
I want them just for show since I don't use the third row EVER!
A flip down will take away from my rearview mirror eyesight, so that is out of the question.

Ive seen some cars that the head rest pulls off of the metal poles instead of the poles coming out with the headrest. I was just thinking out loud I guess lol. a grand!?!? thats crazy! for that i would just cut into the actual leather

Ya that's what I said.
I'll find it sooner or later.
I'm going to a car audio shop tomorrow to see what can be done.

Better Idea. Leave the rear headrests folded. You can see the front row headrests from outside the truck then.

yea thats what im saying he had them like mine and on the back seat headrest, not on the 3rd rows

How did your friend put them in the back row? Those medal pins aren't removable since they fold down when the seats are folded.

Why go small, if it is all for show, pick up a 37" flat panel and put it in the cargo area. Tie it into your DVD player and pick up an AC/DC inverter.

If you are showing your truck, that is one thing, but if you just want to drive around and impress others, that is pretty sad.
