Z71 Dark Ash Metallic w/ Gideon/Very Dark Atmosphere

I know the Dark Ash Metallic is new for 2022, but it's what I'm looking to order soon. I'm pretty confident about the exterior Dark Ash color, but I'm not sure how the Gideon/Very Dark is going to look with it. I think the interior color is already existing, so does anyone out there have a pic or two of the interior color with a similar exterior color? Bonus points (and likes) if it's a Z71!

Bumping the thread. Now that 2022's are starting to pop up more frequently, wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the colors? Pics would be great!

Have you seen dark ash? I saw it on a Tahoe for the first time this weekend and it looked brownish purple. Nothing like online. Wasn’t for me so thought I would throw that out there!

That's disappointing to hear. I'm really hoping it's just a charcoal color. The brown and purple hints raise my eyebrow a bit. I'll have to continue the hunt and see one in person I guess.

It was odd for sure, the Tahoe was a little dirty, we were on the lot in a Sunday, and it wasnt a bright sunny day, but the color was not what I was expecting at all.

I've been trying to find photos/videos of a Tahoe in Dark Ash Metallic for awhile. Finally found one last night:

Definitely has a purple tint to my eye depending on how the light hits it, although sometimes it looks more blue. I don't see any brown tones in this video at least though.

That's not a bad video. I found a dealer with one in stock, gonna go take a look in person tomorrow. I kinda like the change of color. It's not quite what I was expecting, but it's not bad

Ordered a z71 in dark ash metallic for my wife. Didn’t get to see it in person prior to ordering… she doesn’t like the satin steel metallic (too light) or the evergreen gray metallic (too green). Haven’t seen many examples online in the color in the z71 trim.

Similar story here. We've been scouting for a while with no luck. Got really close to finding one but it was sold the night before.

I put a deposit down last night too. Hopefully they'll get it ordered with GM sooner rather than later.

The dealer I ordered from said they have a paint chip, which looks similar to the online configurator but a bit darker. This was the only color my wife liked, so I guess we'll roll the dice. These are the only real-life photos I've found of dark ash metallic on a Tahoe.

First time poster here wanted to help out a bit. We just picked up my wife's 2022 z71 in dark ash metallic. So couple of things. It does not look like the color on the configurator. It is a very deep gray metallic with a blue/purple undertone. I have taken some pictures seen here but it is hard to truly capture the color. It looks almost black sometimes and almost purple/blue other times. Happy to answer any questions you guys might have on it. will try to grab a picture of it in 100% sunlight. On the positive my wife loves the color.

I can't wait to get mine now, that's exactly what I was looking for. The fact that there's a hint of blue/purple in it is pretty cool too. If nothing else, it's a talking point which to be honest, it's always great when people ask about your truck. I'm more than happy to do so. If they don't ask, then it's kinda boring!

Thanks yep been great so far already have over 500 miles on it. Interior is black but think it will go good with either of the interior color options. Also found this picture from when we picked it up at the dealer. You can see the blue/purple a little better here in the full sunlight.

I was searching all last night for pictures of this color! Ours is supposed to be here in 2 weeks and now I’m panicking the car is going to be super purple. Do you have any more photos?? It’s so hard to tell because it looks so different in all the pictures. We ordered in October and have been so excited, I’m hoping we won’t be disappointed!

I can try to take some more pictures later today. It deffinatly has purple in it but you only see it in bright sunlight. It is not what you would think of as a purple car. It is gray with some purple/blue. It truely looks different in every picture and in person. Everyone who has seen it so far loves the color. We were worried about the same thing before it came in but it is truely very nice, not exactly what we thought we were getting, but it is a great color. As others have mentioned it does not have any brown in it. Only way to truely appricate it is see it in person.

I'm a big fan of the Dark Ash color in these pics you took. Still on the fence about the daylight look with the purple tones. I've got one on order in this color, TPW Dec 13, so I guess I'm committed now anyways!
My other option is that there is a black one in stock that I could pick up, but it has a couple of options I don't need and I'm really not a fan of the plain black color, I don't think there is any metallic to it or anything to give it depth.
