I just asked my father today if he'd like to run an old GP-7 again, he was a conductor back in the 1970s. There's a small line a few hours from here that will let you drive an engine.

Trains are great, Europe has us whooped in that department but I attribute most of that to them having had 2 major wars where there was a great need for rail, Here in Cali alone they have trying to put in high speed rail for over 10 years and have accomplished basically nothing, it's not like the old times where they could just force there way both legally and illegally.
There is a dirty history behind many things.... I will just leave it that

I’m not cracking my shin on either one. Especially a non-functioning part. At least a ball mount serves a purpose. I like my nice flat receiver plug.

Remove the hitch or run something cool and learn to avoid it. Or, be vanilla and run the ubiquitous fish-sucking-the-hitch ball or split tennis ball cover options.


For the record, my initial reply to "Do you like trains?" was gonna be a vulgar, smart-ass response. But, @Craignor doesn't know me like that so I chose not to risk offending.
