Hey was sup everyone. I got my Denali tinted today with 15% xpel ceramic and I noticed that the tints look off. Dose anyone else have this problem? I only tinted my two front windows.

Slightly, but I don’t think there is an exact match. I think 20% is too dark. I got xpel as well, and you really don’t notice after awhile. I’m just happy to protect the interior.

When you do just the two fronts, its hard to match the factory smoked glass. They do their best to get it close though. Personally I did 5% all the way around (including the backs) and 35% on the full windshield... since its dark, I don't notice the difference. I went with the llumar ceramic.

The fronts have a tint already. If you add 15% to the fronts in an effort to match 15% rears. You are going to get more tint on the front

What percentage did you go with? Also do you have any pictures? I did 15%

I would like to do this but in NY you can only have 70% on the two fronts

I want the front windows lighter than the rear. When you make the front so dark… you can barely see anything in your mirrors. It’s much more important that you’re able to see than what it looks like…
What percentage did you go with? Do you have any pictures?

At 25% I sometimes have to roll my windows down when it's dark to see my mirrors though it's perfect in daylight so if you're not backing up in dark places often go with 25%.

Pictures don’t really do it justice, I just told my dealership when they look at my rear windows I want the tint to be a noticeable shade lighter. They basically complied with that and I was happy. I don’t know the percentages sorry.
I tried matching them on another vehicle just for “looks” and we ended up having to pay to have it removed because unless it was a bright sunny day, vehicles just weren’t clearly visible in your Sideview mirror. In terrible weather it was even worse…. You cannot afford to have any visual mistakes, especially blaming it on I couldn’t see through my window….

This is completely normal. It is next to impossible to perfectly match the factory tinted glass (which is made into the glass itself) with a tint film over the front windows. Not only do you have to consider the darkness of the tint but the color. If I remember correctly, the new Denali also has twin pane acoustic front door windows which really change how the light looks when it goes through it making it even more difficult. The best thing you can do to try and make the color match better is to tint over the rear windows (which will also have the benefit of keeping more heat out of the film has heat rejection qualities) but it still won’t be a perfect match.

Bear in mind just because you “couldn’t see through” your window doesn’t mean someone else can’t. I have 3M Crystaline 20” on my front doors (which would likely meter out at 10% at best), 50% on the entire windshield, and 40% over the factory tint in the rear and I can see just fine. I still have to wear my sunglasses during the day. Cheapo tint and poor installation can also make it more difficult to see through.

I went 3M Crystalline

5% all around and 20% for the 2 front windows. No issues at night all tho I personally like to lower my windows when backing into my driveway.

A guy who works at different dealership. Name is Boris. He did work on all my other cars and no problems. Look at the 3rd pic you can see a big difference
Thanks. I was curious on the first photo, as tinting work bay looks exactly like a tinting work bay at one of the places where I get work done.
