Been having issues with my door locks for quite awhile now.

Anyone know where the door lock relay is located? Is it an easy swap out for a new one?

The lock actuators are probably bad. Very common problem from 2007-2010 but can still happen on the newer ones.

I don't think it is the door actuators, would like to replace the relay, too may sporadic issues with all the doors unlocking.

Where is the door lock relay? Anyone have a diagram showing where the relay is located and a part number?

It's the actuators.

There is only a relay for the rear actuators and it is part of the I/P fuse block. The fronts are run off the door modules. You need actuators.

The rear ones are what I am having issues with. This relay is in the fuse panel?

No. It is part of the block, you will have to replace the whole fuse block. I have never seen one fail and I've been working on these trucks since they were new. There is a 1% chance that is your problem.

Ordered and got a new driver side rear door latch/door lock actuator.

Installed it this morning, does the same thing, locks fine, unlocking is flaky.

So I am puzzled after spending $110 for a new latch/door lock actuator?

GM actuator or aftermarket? Does it work with the door panel removed? It uses the same wires for locking and unlocking, the polarity is just flipped. If the indicator rod is bent up and the indicator binds on the door panel that would cause it as well.

Thanks for the reply but none of those, it is aftermarket, the rod is straight (moves easily). Works fine except unlocking it does not work unless you press the unlock button 10-15 times.

Does it sound like it tries to work at all? You can put a test light on it and lock and unlock it and see if power is there.

It locks fine, just the unlock does not work (works after you hit the unlock button). So I would assume that it is getting power just flaky when trying to unlock.

But it’s just the one door that won’t unlock? So that eliminates most of the system including the buttons l, modules, and relays. It could be an odd wiring problem where there is some high resistance and it takes less amperage to lock than it does to unlock (I’m not sure if that is the case or not, I’ve never measured it). If I were working on this, I would disconnect the door latch connector and put an incandescent test light across the motor terminals and use a DMM to check voltage drop and make sure it is dropping the same voltage whether commanded to lock or unlock. If it is, then the new latch is bad also.
