What made you trade in the Tahoe? No hate, just curious. The new ride Looks good.

Both are excellent vehicles. The Tahoe was more of a towing plain Jane rig and I don’t tow. I was missing some of the higher trim level features - mostly the adaptive radar cruise control. The Toyota has a lot of flaws but it just fits my needs better at this time.

what ya got to rid your self of ???? let us know.

Mostly the new vacuum pump + vacuum pump belt (was going to replace with the front diff service at 50,000 miles) + 1 set of OEM wiper blades + 1 set of OEM air filters + 2 Mobil 1 oil filters. There’s some Dexron and DexCool, but shipping on those wouldn’t be my first choice.

Replaced that damn rear hatch lift strut. 3rd time on this 2017. Time 1 & 2 were under warranty.

damn thing exploded when I released the lower latch. That sucked. Come to find out there is a bulletin that says to run a screw into the side to prevent that

It’s easy enough to fix the strut though. It had unthreaded from the lower joint. I reassembled it and put it on the shelf for next time. Kinda pissed this poor design hasn’t been addressed yet by GM

my guess is gm doesn't even make them they just have a manufacture do a run with the gm part number printed on it, after they do the gm run they re-tool and do some other brand name

Interested in your impressions on the S&B. I've wanted to get one for my wife's Yukon. Mainly to make checking the filter easier. Any noticeable change in "get up and go"?

I was actually surprised. Throttle is more responsive it’s quiet until you hit the throttle and it has a really neat intake growl. I’m happy with it. I ordered a filter sock to extend the life of the dry filter. They sell both dry and washable filters for $60 which is not too bad.

Looks good! How do they ride? I recently put on the HT version and feel they exceed defenders in every apect...

Thanks! They ride really well so far and I am surprised how quiet they are. Will be interesting to see if they stay that way as the miles are put on.

Cleaned the throttle body. Wasn't really dirty after 45000 miles but glad I got it cleaned. Did seem to smooth out the idle some. I was gonna clean the MAF sensor but it looked really good so i didn't bother. I was kinda surprised with the oil on/in the PCV intake lines around the connectors. Decided to order a JLT catch can. I have one on my F150 and it works as described.

Took a minute (air box removal was outsmarting my pea brain), but installed K&N High flow filter.

Wife’s Yukon and she doesn’t like me doing things to it, so hush hush...she doesn’t need to know. :)

Also got the Range Active Fuel Management delete dongle thing.

Getting ready to pull a travel trailer we are picking up this weekend with the wife's Yukon. Added proportional brake controller, ditched the P-rated Continentals that came with it, and added air lift bags inside the coils to firm up the suspension. I went with Load range E Ridge Grapplers in the stock size and was impressed with how it changed the look. We are going from a newer F-250 diesel with a 10k trailer to a smaller 5700 lb trailer with the Yukon. I am interested to see how the towing experience varies, lol. We only pull max 3 or 4 hours down around the Houston area no mountains or big hills, just some highway overpasses and have a nice equalizer WDH. I am hoping the 5.3 with the 3.08 rear end can get it done. :driver:

How's your yukon running? Curious about the tires. Do they help much when towing?
