Periodically I will climb in my Yukon, close the door and press the start button with the key fob in my pocket. The horn will beep 3 times in quick succession then the vehicle will start. I can't figure out what's going on here, and wondering if the vehicle isn't recognizing my key fob or if there is some other glitch going on. I don't have the alert set to beep 3 times when the key fob isn't still in the vehicle, or anything else that I can think of. Anyone else have this happen?

try putting a new battery in the remote fob and see if the problem goes away, that's probably it.

Do the 2021’s beep/remind you and not lock if you happen to try to lock your fob inside?

May have figured this out. I had my profile set up for key 1 but was using key 2. I switched to key 1 and haven't had any issues with 3 beeps upon starting since. I'm guessing it has something to do with my Yukon thinking the key isn't in the vehicle due my starting it with the one not associated with my profile. I'll report back if this is the fix...

@Joseph Garcia That was it! No more horn beeping 3 times on start-up now that I have the correct key fob linked under my profile. It does give the option to have both key fobs linked but I think if you were to do that, not sure how the truck would know it’s me and not my wife’s profile.

i'm confused, how would the vehicle determine that you are not the person associated with the fob?

I learned quickly that profiles are trouble. Deleted mine and my wife's a while back and merged into a single profile for the vehicle and eliminated a confusing headache.
