Oh hell no! Don’t try it while installed!!So much nicer. So you bent the shifter up so it sits higher? I need a vise. I bet if I tried to bend it while it's attached I'd def break something.
Definitely! You can sometimes find great, high quality old vices for cheap. (Sometimes those people know their value though).. any new vice is going to be garbage metal unless you pay serious $$$ for it.Maybe I should go look at some garage sales!

And I finally decided to replace
Before, with the stock NNBS shifter:

In drive:

After I bent the arm in the vice, I needed to clean up the shaft a bit since it was a little torn up / rough from the vice jaws:

Now the new park position:

And drive:

Then I started pulling off the shrink tubing I did last time, and desoldered the wires. These are really short, so didn’t want to cut any off if I didn’t have to:

Soldered to the original plug:

And 3 layers of shrink tubing, because I love that shit.. :

Tow / Haul (BBP “Sport” mode) activates just fine, and the drive position:

Unfortunately I rent, so I don't think the landlord would approveDetails! Kitchen counters work!![]()
I do have a tendency to break stuff.Oh hell no! Don’t try it while installed!!
How's this one look? You post hurts me!!! I'm over here thinking I can do without changing the interior bulbs!! The blue looks so nice!! How difficult was it to switch everything over?? Which bulbs did u use??
Lol.I'd also need a bench to mount it to.
I wanted to get red needles but the guy said the blue leds would wash them out.Tonyrodz i like the contrast the orange needles create. Both look great and better than my boogered stocker

Yup! For sure. I bought a Craftsman a couple years ago, a decent 6”.. I was using the “anvil” on it, and just barely caught the edge of the “anvil”, which promptly broke off a huge chunk of steel. Obviously the “anvil” is only supposed to be for looks...!That's the damn truth! Bought one at Sears a few years back paid like $200-$300 it was a really big one. Put something in it and was giving it hell with a mini sledge for about a dozen blows until the jaw broke right off and nearly took out my flip flop clad toes lol.
I have scrounged some garage sale vices since then that say USA made on them instead of dang chineseium.
I've realized years ago that Craftsman anything is subpar in quality. Imo anything after late 80's early 90's is garbage.Yup! For sure. I bought a Craftsman a couple years ago, a decent 6”.. Link to the nipples, I mean bumpers. LolForgot who it was, but someone posted replacement rubber bumpers for the middle console, to replace the ridiculously expensive factory ones. I only needed to replace a couple, but worked well.

I’ll have to find the post..!Link to the nipples, I mean bumpers. Lol
Thanks! Appreciate it! I kinda wish I had done green to be honest. Lol. Anyway, bought the bulbs from a guy on Ebay. He makes kits. It’s a bit tedious, but worth it. I still need to finish the passenger door..You post hurts me!!! I'm over here thinking I can do without changing the interior bulbs!! The blue looks so nice!! Looks good , love the two tone. Did you mention if you had plans for the ^ v buttons on the shifter ?And I finally decided to replace the standard NNBS shifter with the new one that @Adverturedenali92 suggested (maple or amber or something..?) Thanks Chase!! - anyway, color is pretty good. Not exact, but a lot nicer than black. And I bent the shifter arm enough so it’s closer to stock. Much better!
Now, I’ll have to do it all over again, when my replacement shifter boot arrives Wednesday.. [emoji3525]
I left the original in for now because mine’s pretty trashed and suspect it would have ended up in two pieces anyway, had I put it on the new shifter...

No plans. I cut the wires pretty short. I can always take it out and do something with them, but as of now, no plans.Looks good , love the two tone. Did you mention if you had plans for the ^ v buttons on the shifter ?
Obviously I’m using the wrong lights. [emoji28]Z71 valence and Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs installed.
