50k on the trans fluid seems on a higher side for me. I’m doing 40k between flushes and filter changes, but I have a trans thermostat delete mod and max tow oil-to-air cooler. The highest trans temperature I’ve seen this summer was 180.

45k is interval for severe duty schedule on trans fluid.
normal is around 97k

so 50k might be good idea to do in near future

tsunitx. shocks should not be too bad since you have an LT vs LTZ which has the Magnetic Ride Control. Hopefully you are checking Ebay, Amazon, or Rockauto for better prices for all the work and all the parts you are purchasing.

I'm one of the worst cheap-***** there is, so you can rest assured I will shop for the cheapest price possible. :D Without sacrificing quality, though. I usually buy AC Delco since I know they will work and the price is not that much more than store brands.

As far as the rear shocks go, I'll go with KYB Gas-a-justs. Not necessarily my first choice, but since that's what the previous owner put in the front just two months ago, I'll do a matching set. The receipt from the shop says rears were leaking, but he declined the replacement. I checked and I wouldn't say they're completely blown or anything, but they do exhibit signs of leaking. Hence, time to swap them out to match the fronts.

Ordered the Magnaflow 19177 Catback kit for the Escalade on Monday. Excited to see it shipped today . Hopefully by this time next week I'll have some sound clips to share.

The Magnaflow 19177 system is nice; but it’s still a bit on the quiet side. It’s marginally louder than the stock exhaust. However, it’s one of the few aftermarket systems for the 6.2L L86 models that is offered with 3.5” pipe diameter which is what the factory exhaust pipe size is for the 6.2L L86 models.

Never understood why Borla and Corsa only offer a 3” aftermarket exhaust option for the GM full-size SUV’s . Other than to s save costs and offer the same system for both the 5.3L and 6.2L models.

Thanks for the heads up on the sound.... And I mean that sincerely. Interestingly enough, my Escalade already has a serious rumble with the stock exhaust which surprised me because the Denali was whisper quiet.

In my case though the mod is less about sound and more about that 3.5" pipe performance that you mentioned above. I've been doing a crap load of research and I've read through a bunch of build threads, including the NorcalSS build, and will borrowing from aspects of all of that intel gained to set my own truck up. I've got a local fabricator with some regional/national exposure involved with the project and they will be helping with the build. It will be pretty much the typical supercharger/headers/tune build that has been done before but hopefully with a few wrinkles thrown in. The owner of the shop helping with the build wants me to go with twin turbos in place of a supercharger but I've got a fixed budget of right around $20k (hopefully much, MUCH less) for the project so there's the "best bang for the buck" factor to consider as well.

I might even hop online and pick up where NorcalSS left off with his Hennessey Performance race challenge. Irritating people is my specialty! LOL!!

Got me stuff to do this weekend. In case I find the time...

Have Rancho QuickLift fronts and RS5000X rears to do on my Silverado, so we’ll see which one gets done first.
