I agree, but I have a feeling I'm on the back burner now.

Just wanna share about the GN. I'm actually proud of my son. He's done improvements that I've wanted to do myself, but I lost the motivation over the years. He finally did the brake conversion I've been wanting to do for years. Swapped out the ****** powermaster setup for a conventional hydraulic setup, and he did the front brakes too lol.

I only put 4,000 miles on it in 23 yrs, so I guess it was time. He also found a short that I never bothered to look for!

Battery cable going to starter was shorting out on the header. It wouldn't do it all the time. He found it when it was on the lift.
He also put a heat shield on the down pipe. It's a factory problem. Pipe is too close to the lower control arm bushing and the heat just disintegrates the rubber bushing--totally.

I bought this shield and it was actually the wrong one. But I guess it'll work.
He also swapped out the shocks too.

Good news and bad news buddy. Glad to see your son is working on the GN and I’m hoping for a successful recovery for you. How’s your patience? You’re gonna need it.
Yeah, thx Mark. Boy makes me proud.
Patience has long been gone, but what can I do? Just gonna wait it out I guess.

Thanks for sharing Tony. Obviously you raised him right. He’s paying attention to what you said, and taught him, and taking good care of that beaut’!

Take care of that shoulder buddy. It’s a slow recovery.
I really like to think I raised him right--such a long tortured story. He knows how much that car meant to me. Actually more then just a car.
It's not the monuments we build, the poetry we write or the inventions we dream up that really makes a difference. I think it's the kids we raise, and the values we instill in them that really makes a difference in this big lonely world. That's our legacy.
