Today, I found out I’m not great at paint, and also you should never do paint when you don’t have unlimited time ‍♂️View attachment 253881

I also rewired the connectors on the driver’s side to replace the broken/lost parts
Paint looks great from 10 feet away in the dark...:rolleyes:

Had to do these yesterday on mine too. Sucks being clumsy while under the hood around brittle parts lol!
the first time I had to do some I fought with the dam things to get them off went and bought the tool that is "supposed" to work, in fact I bought like 3 different ones, spent far too much time trying to get the dam things off, then I realized I can just just break the plastic off and 5 minutes later I was done, that was about 15-16 years ago and the only information out there was "you have to use the tool" pffttt I still have the stupid tool's sitting in the toolbox I think one of them might actually work for the fuel line.

I had no problems getting mine off, but had a ***** of a time getting it to slide back on. I was more worried about breaking something else I didn't give it to the ommph it needed. Put a little WD40 on it and got her back together. Checked it this morning a couple times and no leaks so I think it's good to go!

Did you use the AC Delco parts? The Dorman are known to fail fairly quickly.

weird the oem's I bought slide right on

Went with Dorman. Hopefully it doesn't :pp:
Keep that in mind. There’s very few Dorman parts I would buy, never the ones that are hard to replace, and never ever those t’s. I have heard nothing but trouble with those Dorman T’s which have such a bad reputation with breaking in a year or two that some people go to the trouble of buying metal ones that take about 12 clamps. OEM’s last for 10-12 years.

Well for mine the T didn't break, the connector to the T did. So maybe that will be my saving grace. But I'll see if I can find a part # for the part I replaced and order the AC Delco version to have as a backup. :beer:

Replaced all the bulbs in the front end; high beam, low beam, turn signals, DRL. Cost was $73.00 I just used Sylvania OEM and they look great. But be careful when testing the lights after replacing!! I found ou the hard way that the headlights get hot as he77 ! I melted a spot on the plastic grill! A dremel tool and touch up paint and it hid pretty well though; thank god it's white. Lesson learned. Cut off a "lock" hitch in the receiver ( previous owner lost key) then painted the Reese tow pkg to cover up the old...I rattle canned it and it looks great

Test drove it some more after replacing the water pump and to haul $500 in groceries :driver: ordered a new maf for it yesterday it did a little herky jerky on me right before the water pump blew, typical of a maf going out.
