So all three sockets up front have not been working (2001 Yukon XL), there are two cig lighter sockets, and one six socket.

I replaced the fuses, still weren’t working. Then I replaced all three sockets... Now, the aux socket works, but the cig lighter sockets still don’t.

Do the cig lighter sockets use a relay too? What else could it be?

Use a test light or Fluke or multimeter and see if it has power at the Cig lighter connector pigtail.

Check if the fuses have power when key is on.

If fuses have power and endpoints do not, there must be a break in the wires.

Do an OHM test on the wires to validate a broken wire.

You'd have to find a wiring diagram to trace the wires.

A great source for the wiring diagrams and many other questions about your rig is the sire alldatadiy.com. It is a year to year membership and is the same info supplied to the repair shops. I have used it many times for my 2002 Tahoe.

Yep, AllData is well worth the $19 a year, if you are your own mechanic and like to see all the technical data about your rig. Usually, you can even find a discount code if you search around places like Retailmenot

I'm having a similar issue in my 2002 Tahoe LT. I have the 3 outlets in the dash above the tape deck and only the far right one works. When I look into the socket it looks different the the two on the left. And the socket for the rear seat also looks like the two left sockets in the dash and it also does not work. Granted I have not tested them for power but they look like two different types of sockets. Is there a difference between sockets?

1 is for a cigarette lighter the others are merely power. But they all do the same thing.... charge whatever you’re charging

That's what I assumed. Are they differently designed sockets? One, the one that works, looks like a standard cigarette lighter outlet inside of the socket. The other three look different in the socket. Once I get home I will post pictures. I think what's happening is the charging adapter that is plugged in is not making contact somewhere. I'm trying to figure out if they are different sockets or broken on the inside.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.
