@Denali2021 im curious does your new Denali have the 360 camera setup or just front/rear cams? I thought I read somewhere that the new Denali package Yukon was finally getting the 360 camera setup like the K2 platform escalades have. But I wasn’t sure where I saw it or if it was correct!

Yea so it comes with all the camera views including 360. Looks and performs great. Its right on par with the quality/performance/resoution of the 360 system out of a 2017 Mercedes GLE suv which I think says alot. Probably a bit better with the larger 10.2 screen. My understanding is that the only view the Denali doesnt come with standard is the trailer hitch view which you get if you add the Max Trailering package.

Ah ok that’s pretty cool! I really like the 360 camera a setup in the 2015 luxury package esv that belongs to my best friends parents. Definitely makes parking a lot easier haha. I hadn’t heard about the hitch camera. That’s a good idea! Is that a separate camera mounted directly about the hitch receiver?

Something about a ‘invisible trailer’ IVe seen or read or watched.... it makes it so you can ‘see’ behind the trailer..... pretty cool imo

Congrats!

The narrower tires are to probably help with their vibration issues that they can't ever seem to figure out. Lol

Yea exactly, its an extra camera angled to show a birds eye view directly above the ball of your hitch to facilitate in hitching your trailer without constantly getting out to check or having another person back you up.

Example from GMC press images:

So what you're referring to is something a bit different. Its an actual additional camera that you physically mount the rear of your trailer. It then feeds in an additional camera view into the indash screen that combines the feed from the factory rear facing camera along with the feed from the rear of the trailer to make it look invisible. Basically it's picture in picture that merges the 2 feeds seamlessly.

Yea the dealer i bought from mentioned fall at the earliest to expect any incentives from the manufacturer. But yes, same concern if the factory shut down again then it'll be delays all over which is one reason i sucked it up and agreed to sticker... which i absolutely NEVER have done in my life and never thought I would!

I normally wouldn't talk financials but I guess it might be helpful for you and others on what the offered rates are looking like in this unique economic time:

Selling Price: 79k
Total after TTL: ~86k
Down Payment: 35k
Amount Financed: 51k
Loan Terms: 2.69% for 72 months (w/ 800+ credit score)
Monthly Payment: ~$760/month

GM Financial seems to be offering very favorable rates. I was pitting 2 dealers against each other, none would budge on MSRP however they were countering each other on what they could get me on financing. The other dealer actually got me down to 2.29% at 72 months however the vehicle was short a few options so I passed. The down payment may have contributed to the loan being a highly equity positive deal for the bank along with a lowered amount financed so that may have helped knock the APR down some. The first rate quoted to me was 3.89% at 72... I even asked the finance guy what his buy rate was and he told me 3.69% which was total BS. So in a few hours worth of counter offerings and waiting for replies APR went from 3.89% to a potential 2.29% which is huge over the length of the loan. All in all, with rates for borrowing from the government being at all time lows, it seems like GM Financial is being pretty competitive during this economic time to get cash rolling in with pretty fair APR rates.

2.69% is pretty competitive all things considered. 0% would obviously be ideal, but I don't think the 2021's will see that anytime soon. Ford is offering 0% on the Expy so maybe that keeps some pressure on GM.

Thanks for your post. Super informative.

Wow, looks really nice.

How much space is behind the 3rd row? That looks like quite a bit more than previous years, but it could just be the pic.

Ehhh...the camera quality is subpar- on par with my daugther's '12 Infiniti G37. The 360 is nice- but not HD quality.

Congrats to the OP! Always fun to get a new vehicle- especially a new one like this! Looks great and 80K for a loaded Denali is the going rate.

Curious what all comes with the max trailering package if it includes a more heavy duty rearend like the NHT package does on the trucks. Not sure if that's going to be a thing or not with the IRS, I ordered it my suburban so I guess I will see if and when it ever shows up.

Beautiful Denali, that's one clean ride!

Congrats! I assume no dvd/bluray player? Guess I'll have to research boxes to rip movies to?

Very nice, congrats.

On a side note, any manufacturer that tried to charge me extra for black paint would get a 'good luck with that' from me.

Yea dumbest thing ever is the only 'free' color is white, everything else is extra... Makes no sense to me.

Nope, no optical disk player of any sort on this one. Not even a CD player in the dash, everything is digital media now. I've already ripped a few YouTube cartoon shows to a thumb drive which you can plug into any USB port in the car and then beam different video files to the rear screens all controlled from the in dash head unit. Pretty neat stuff.

No difference in rear end. The mechanical differences are an upgraded radiator, trailer brake control, and addtl hitch view camera. Also get an extra trailering app on the infotainment along with an addtl trailer blind side alert safety feature.

Yeah and I also noticed that most dealers are ordering these Denalis fully loaded with all addtl options. So the most common config you'll see is hitting lots is the Denali with 4wd, Ultimate Denali Package, Max Trailering, Rear Seat Media, and the cost of whatever color beyond Summit White. Very very few SLTs, mostly Denalis this round.

Lots more space behind the 2nd row altogether. Pretty sure they are claiming 10 addtl inches of 3rd row legroom and cargo space behind 3rd row is I think 50% larger than current Gen. Makes sense since they also stretched the wheelbase and overall length this refresh.

Any comments on the pushbutton transmission? Would appear to be problematic for downshifting with a trailer. I thought GMC would have finally added paddle shifters, over the steering wheel shift lever + / -.

Looks great! Love all of the little details they've added. The splash light (marking it's territory), the rear seats look like an Aircraft entertainment center, just missing the sexy stews to offer you a coffee! The technology is advancing so quickly, and they're dumping more and more electronics into these vehicles.. I can't keep up!

I'm still getting used to the exterior but the interior is awesome. Doesn't get much better than that even in a car perspective. Love the lit GMC emblem. I wouldn't want to see that in my rearview.

Very nice!!! Am seriously looking but haven't seen new colors yet(Cayenne Red)-disappointed that 20" chrome wheels not available anymore. Have a 19 Denali with 6300 miles on it and should probably keep it but when you get that bug……….
