Hey, just joined up, long time car guy but new to "modern technology", my last "new technology" car was an 86 Buick T-Type (think Grand National) so we've jumped a bit further up in years.
I just bought a 2013 Tahoe PPV couple days ago, North Dakota one officer take home, D.O.T. enforcement with tow package, 74k miles, clean and rust free which is unusual for Buffalo,NY
I plan on occasionally towing an open car trailer with my 51 Henry J gasser onboard and interested in a few performance upgrades for Tahoe.
So I'll be lurking and going through old threads trying to get answers before asking redundant questions, here's the required photos we all love, of my new ride.fb5958e5559ada6f1edfe9816aea025598e2cbf1.jpg 0bb38c2c5b479304c720bac6d433a1513ffcc15b.jpg 20200210_153657.jpg Screenshot_20200217-173934_Drive.jpg Screenshot_20200214-155223_Drive.jpg

Congrats, Welcome to the forum. I see you purchased your truck from Chicago motors. I got mine from them in July. Great truck so far and the guys @ CM were awesome.

Good luck

Yes, picked it up at Chicago Motors Inc., they had good looking inventory, good write up about the vehicle, the car fax, 50+ photos and good reviews. From the initial emails, to the phone calls and texts they seemed easy to deal with, treated me fair and I'm happy with it.

One thing I did notice is the horn doesn't honk when locking it up using the key fob, on my 02 Silverado the horn honks and the security light flashes on dash, so that's something I have to look into. Might just be something in "stealth" mode..lol

Mine doesn’t do that either. Let me know if you figure it out.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Ah yes. I remember the Buick Regal GN T-Type. Was badass sleeper rides back in those 80’s days.

Nice PPV. Glad you got one. Regarding the horn, mine doesn’t work either. I mentioned it in my original intro post and another member replied to mine with the same situation on his PPV. Said he traced it to some disconnected wires as mentioned below.

The horn on my 2014 PPV didnt work. I traced it to two light brown wires under the dash, under the HVAC controls. They are usually run to the control box so the siren will work off of the horn. When the box is removed no one hooks them back together. Just need to put them back together. I did so with solder and heat shrink.

I plan to check that on mine.
