Down the line I plan to install a new head unit. But they are a bit pricey In the mean time I’m looking for something inexpensive that I can simply plug my iPhone into the radio to hear tunes from my iPhone I was thinking physical plug because I thought it may be cheaper and I haven’t always liked the quality of the ones that are wireless Thoughts Thanks

Im not great at finding year models in your signature so apologize if it’s listed. If you have an input like my 07 I use an adapter with male on both ends.

you would need to have a stereo shop install some form of wired adapter if you have a separate oem cassette or cd player unit or just use a fm radio adapter with phone.

Isimple makes an adapter, lets you plug your ipod/iphone into a USB jack, stays charged 24/7 and lets the steering wheel controls work the ipod/iphone to change songs... been using one for years and love it... I leave an ipod in my truck. it auto starts right where you left off.... and stays charged up, they also make an add on that lets you bluetooth your phone as well, works pretty well.... careful shopping you can do this for ~$70 on ebay. I used it to replace my 6 disk CD changer.... info here: https://www.carid.com/isimple/ipod-iphone-and-auxiliary-audio-input-interface-mpn-isgm575.html

one on ebay cheap:

This is exactly what I did and it works great. One of these days I might find a double DIN head unit with CarPlay that I like enough to make the swap, but for now this is the cheapest way to retain factory control and looks, and pipe in whatever music you want.

I bought this bluetooth AUX adapter from Amazon and now I can stream as long as I want without having to worry about recharging.
