Ya, they should be fine without, Swisstrax says they should at least, but I don’t want to take a chance.

Time sure flies. Been a busy few days. Home for a bit. Ordered new Tyler 10.4 mm plug wires, new upstream O2 sensors prior to me arriving. Had them installed on Saturday morning.

That was step 1. Step 2 was to get the Escalade back to the tuner to tweak the tune. Checked codes, tweaked the tune and drove it home on Sunday afternoon. Ran / runs great.

Rainy day Sat.

Sun

Pulled codes and got the tune tweaked. Escalade had a transmission sensor code.

Mon

Had the transmission flushed and replaced with the GM fluid that is recommended for out transmission. Excellent results. Escalade runs great. Lot's of power, header exhaust combo is very nice.

Got all of the rides cleaned up for a good part of the day while I kept busy working on the yard and garage.

Other mods remain on waiting mode as the parts that I ordered fell victim to the GM strike. Maybe / hopefully next time I come back I will have parts in hand and ready for painting ops.

do you run winter tires? I see lots of all terrain and even mud terrain but havent seen anyone yet with proper winter tires on these trucks

Michelin Defenders M/S. Great tires recommended by fellow forum members. Never had an issue with them.

oh these are great all seasons, knowing that snowmageddon will be soon upon us in certain part of the country,
I can't help to wonder how our trucks would do with a proper winter tires like a Bridgestone Blizzak or all them other brand!

Last day in Florida. Headed back to LA (to work) in the morning. I did get most of the parts that I ordered but fell victim to the GM strike. All parts dropped off for color matching. Working on some engine bay components. Mods on the toys continue.

Back in Louisiana and back on the grind. Last Escalade action for this time around was to send the braces that I did obtain from the wish list off to the powder coat shop in Tampa to get coated. They should arrive there no later than mid next week.

Parts should be ready for me to pick up or get sent to the house when they are coated and waiting on me to continue with the mods.

Installed the GM recovery hooks and new airdam that goes with it. A big thanks to member Tk59194 for his write up and sharing part numbers via PM(also Pwtr02ss for pointing me to Tk’s original write up). Took about an hour and a half. I could have done without the ice and saltwater dripping on my face though. But ‘‘tis the season in MI.

I didnt do the work, but after 2 weeks waiting on a Front lamp X1 connector under the fuse box I have both low beams fuctional. they also replaced my oil cooler lines which were weeping a bit where the rubber hose is crimped. I guess its a common issue because they actually had those on hand at the dealership.

Left my hippo at shop to change halogen lenses to Koito bi-led lenses.
I don't personally trust aftermarket led lamps in halogen sockets, so full retrofit is a proper way to go.
Should dramatically improve my lows and add second highs.
Also will swap hb3 to hir1 lamps in highs and install 1500lm led backlights

Last free dealer oil change/rotation, and they did the brake recall at the same time. Just a 15 min reflash. Got home and installed this...
