I recently got curb rash on my 2016 yukon polished aluminum 20" wheel. Looking for some advice or recommendation on what to do. They are polished aluminum. Has anyone tried repairing rash on these style of wheels? Am I better off looking for a replacement wheel?

Thanks!

Repair - find out who your dealer uses for repairs or look for your local Alloy Wheel Repair shop. $100 or so will fix it and you'll be hard pressed to see the damage.

Depending on where you live, there may be a mobile unit that will do it your work or home

Try car-part.com. Lots of stuff in great shape depending on where car was hit

Looks like there are plenty of lightly used OEM wheels just like yours on eBay for $200-$250 ish.

Thanks everyone!

My only concern with the repair shops and the refurbished wheels for sale on ebay is what about the clear coat? I assume these wheels are clear coated and that gets comprised during the repair.

I live in a smaller town, nearest wheel repair shop is 2 hours away. Waiting to hear back from them on cost to fix.

It's repairable. I learned how repair my own after watching the guy repair a few for me many times. If the damage is not too deep all you'll need is 320 grit sand paper, then 600, 1000, and finish off with mothers compound or similar.

Be sure to mask off your tire so that he dust and paste residue doesn't then force you to scrub and clean the tire. Good luck.
