So as it turns out, the new housings are even more badass at night! The out put is the same as it was with my other housings. It’s decent for a run of the mill projector. I’m happy with that aspect of it. But damn the tube LED is BRIGHT!! Like way brighter than I expected it to be! And I’m stoked! I love them! Easy to readjust. And they weren’t too far off adjustment wise either! Now my truck has a sorta mean look lighting wise and I’m digging it! :chewie:

Not saying you don’t, but even the most experienced detailers will skip waxing headlights and tail lights when performing an exterior detail on paint. Applying some wax will help protect the lenses from getting too hazy and weathered from the sun light. Of course black housings will get hotter than chrome housings. Chrome reflects the sun while the black attracts every bit of it.

I didn’t post about it. Lol. That’s how irritated I was with it. If your NBS doesn’t have a sunroof you’re lucky! Haha. I love having one and being able to use it, but good god those track pieces that break area royal pain the ass to replace lol.
Bummer! Sorry Chase, that sucks! I use mine a lot, and am still looking for those darn plastic clips/ springs for the air deflector. Oddly, I can’t find an orderable part / replacement.

Not worth fixing up inexpensive aftermarket headlights IMO. Not much of a market for them when you can buy new ones on the cheap. I can see OEM Denali but that’s about the only used headlights for our trucks that I see selling on eBay or the other sites.

I came up empty handed with that as well. I got lucky and found a wrecked 2004 Escalade in my now go to pick and pull yard that had a sunroof and I swiped the spring clips off that.

I’m not your average detailer. I was trained by an old pro that was incredibly picky and **** about his detail work. And it always showed because his work was by far the best I’ve seen anywhere. And that’s what I follow. Any time wax is being applied on a detail I do headlights and tail lights. It’s just how it goes. And I’m even more **** about waxing them on my truck, since both have dark housings on my truck.

Your old lenses can be fixed. Just sand, buff and clear.
That’s the plan. Then maybe I can offload them on someone on Craigslist haha. But that requires them to be off of my truck for a few days at the least. It wasn’t an option before I had the new setup because I can’t drive without headlights. Lol. And I can’t not have my truck in commission otherwise I can’t work. Now that they’re off I can take in between my hectic work schedule and get it done.

Good to hear , I already knew you were the best but had to make sure lol. I was trained by an old timer too. I have yet to meet anyone that can compare.... to me. Just saying I am an elite detailer and I am the best ever :buffer:

How did you get the clips out? Did you bring a battery, to open the sunroof?

Nope. Not necessary. The sunroof has 4 T15 torq screws directly underneath the glass that bolt it to the arms that attach to the track pieces. You can access each of the 4 bolts when the shade is open. Remove the 4 bolts and the whole glass comes right up and out. It’s actually pretty easy. That will give you access to the track pieces and the air deflector.
