I am hoping so as well. I turn my current car in September 1st.

My fleet rep says the 2019 order window is closed. If they are new for 2020, we should see them soon.

I'm not seeing any evidence that the new Tahoe/Yukon is at the NY show.

Have a friend attending the NY show and there is no new BS Tahoe/Burb/Yukon/Escalade.
Probably won't be released till this time next year as a 2021 model.

That's bad news, if true. But they need to get it right. Wish I had a friend in Arlington . . . .

The next generation GM full size SUVs will be 2020s. They probably won't hit lots until August though. The Escalade maybe a bit later in the year around October.
I think GM is just waiting to kill back inventory. Then they'll schedule a release date.

Not a fan of the front end or independent rear suspension. Part of the intrigue for me in buying the Tahoe was the fact that it's still a "truck". This new thing is just another mini van/soccer Mom/large Suv. (Or whatever else you wanna call it) Kudos to the guys who buy them. I'm sure the improvents over the previous style will be vast and yes, the cargo space will be larger and the ride will be smoother.......but I like my rear axle and didn't buy the Tahoe as a "luxury" vehicle. Oh yeah.....that front end is hideous.

(Sorry GM, the Acura NSX was already redesigned and released several years ago, you’re a day late and a dollar short with that “groundbreaking” mid engine design).
I find it odd that proportions mean nothing to designers anymore. Very “tall” looking front end and a drooping rear facia in this rendering of the Tahoe seems odd to me.
Best I reserve judgment until I see the finished product, but a truck that’s not a “truck” anymore, offered with 3.6 liter and possibly a 4turbo options... meh

The mirror directly on door trend needs to end...yesterday. If they want to increase the side mirror size, they need to look for other alternatives like they did in Russia (utilizing esky mirrors on Tahoe/Suburban for current Gen). It is well documented people want larger mirrors, but this is just not a good look.

Additionally, as the front end continues to push back towards to cabin it takes away from the truck look like LT1ZOB alluded to. Starts to remind me more of a van, but I am sure the handling is slightly better with the engine pushed back.

Very interested to see what they do on the inside.

I like the rendering from the c/d picture. I’m not sure about the independent rear. I like the Tahoe/sub for its truck abilities.

I'm not loyal to any brand. I will not buy a new tahoe going forward. Typically I've owned used vehicles in the past and my 18" tahoe is the first new vehicle I've bought in my life. So yes....if I buy another Tahoe it will be a pre 20 model.

They usually don't follow the same front setup as the silverados though. So that rendering maybe way off.
