Just getting started on the big 3. Ive got some 1/0 100% ofc leftover from a previous project. So i started with the battery to body ground which was made out of a little scrap piece.

The rest of my leftover was a couple inches too short for the alt to positive cable. So i bought a "premium" 100% copper 2 gauge cable at autozone for cheap. 45" seems to be perfect length. Added some loom and marine heat shrink

What else should i do? Block to body? Ive got about 3' of 1/0 left. Any good spots? On my nbs the alt bracket to body was an easy run.

Noticeable improvement @ idle on the dash already. Was max of 13.9v before, now closer to 14.5.

I think the earth cables go battery to block, block to chassis, and chassis to body. I don't think there is a block to body?

I think the block to chassis/chassis to body are about 3'.

But I could be wrong about all of this :)

As far as i cant tell you are correct. Wonder if there is any advantage to going from the alt bracket to body. My block to battery ground seems sufficient. I dont think that i have much room for additional improvement at this point. I dont have an aftermarket stereo or winch or anything really. Maybe ill upgrade the starter cable...
