Is it possible to do away with the OEM roof rack on my yukon? Can I just unbolt it and call it good or is there holes to fill?

there will be holes to fill. It's the hole the bolt screws in to. Some people get short bolts to put in it's place. there's a few different products that can do it.

Is there any kind of seal to use along with the bolts? Also can I just use the ones from my rack or will they be way too long?

I took my rack off and just put the stock bolts back in the holes. I did that just to keep debris out of them. With the stock bolts, just the heads are visible--not a biggie imo. You could always get bolts with flat heads instead of the stock rounded heads.

That thing looks amazing! Is there anyway to see what the bolts look like exposed? I wanna do this to my z71, Also deflared it looks so much cleaner, and they look even cleaner debadged. I might have to do those things, Love your truck though so clean.

Thanks , miss that look sometimes. Those are Nissan Titan stock 18” wheels. Bolt heads exposed just look like exposed bolt heads lol. I don’t have any pics up close I don’t think. I can try and look, but you can barely see the bolts in the pics I posted above

I just removed the roof rack on my 2000 Yukon and put the same bolts back in with a little sealer on them. I would like to replace them with shorter stainless ones, Anyone know the size threads?

M6x1.0 - 16mm stainless set screws, wrapped with Teflon tape and a dab of RTV. No bolt head sticking out and absolutely no leaking.
