Nah not motivated enough. You can only polish a turd so far. Being stuck with only one bulb option that has suspect quality control is lackluster at best too. Just gunna go rx350 or maybe s2000 retrofit.

Thoughts on torquing lug nuts after you have pulled your own wheels off at home during routine maintenance, etc...

Torque wrench, impact driver or lug wrench?
Or a combination of each or only 1?

I typically run them snug with impact then torque them with a torque wrench

I normally tighten them up with an umph and then a week later go back over them.

I like that a lot how much work was the HDTV hood?

From my searches on this board......

1. Find the hood

2. Bolt the hood on

3. Heat up the part eyelash part that makes contact with the Yukon headlight.

4. Slam the hood.

5. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until it fits.

What i did....

1. Find the hood

2. drop it off at body/paint shop

3. drink beer and enjoy HD hood

I use a socket on a 24" breaker bar (stays under the back seat). Have yet to run into trouble ever getting one off, even after some tire shop goof holds an impact on there until it smokes. When I put them on, my torque spec is "lean on that bad boy pretty good"
I do not always go back over them after a bit, but do recognize this as best practice.

Lug nuts go to 140 ft-lbs. I usually do around 120 first, then go over them again to 140. With a good sized ratchet or lug nut wrench and doing them with a little oomph, the first round is usually around 120 already.

Lol geez I've been torquing mine to 100 for the past year.... I'll snug them down this week lol

Mellings HV oil pump & pickup tube
ICT Billet block off plate and pickup tube gridle
Fel-pro front main/timing plate seal set and oil pan gasket
Cloyes LS2 timing chain

GODDAMN the harmanic balancer was a *****. Ended up having to rent the Chrysler puller from Autozone to get it off. Used the blow torch method to get it on. Rear main was done 6 months ago, intake and valve covers were done 3 months ago. Bottom of engine is hopefully going to be spotless from now on!

Redhead Steering box waiting in garage to install. Might do a writeup or something if time allows.

What do you torque your wheels to?
140, that's owners manual spec.

Had a shop put some tires on a few years ago, I asked the dude what's the torque at? He said 75. I told him "it needs to be double that bro". He said he never torqued anything higher than 100. I couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe it. I showed him the owners manual lol. Facepalm

My old battery has been failing for a while now so I finally replaced it today. Got an XS Power D3400 (it had styrofoam all over it from the box).

Also bought some SICK D ring shackles for the front and rear bumpers. I was totally impressed by the quality of these things. They match the accent lights in my Rigid Radiance Pods. Now I just need to get some more Radiance Pods for the roof rack.
