I have had the OEM accessory organizer in my Yukon and now in my Silverado. It's decent, but it's very open and has slots for CD's without any real organization. Saw this on Amazon the other day For $20 and grabbed it.

It's about an inch shorter than the GM one, but everything I carry in the GM one fits fine in this. I just started using it today so I'll come in here in a few days and edit this post with my feedback, but I think this is a better option than the GM one.

Looks like it blocks the power port and USB?

Nope. It's underneath that and i use it all the time, even for my aftermarket radio. On the drivers side you can see where you could put a cable through it for the phone or ipod

How much space is underneath (how far does it extend down)?

Twenty more dollars I wasn't looking to spend. I'll have to make someone local a deal on my vintage velour-covered one.

I ordered one and it was delivered this afternoon. It's nice to be able to keep larger items like the owners manuals and stuff below this organizer and able to keep pens and change in this tray.

I actually have a combination lock box screwed down using the factory mounts in the bottom of the console that I use to put my CCW into when I can't take it with me. This tray organizer clears the lockbox

I ordered one too. I’m thinking that’s a good option right there.
