Dexcool got a bad name when it first came out it caused problems in some of the GM cars along with people not changing it out when it was recommended, it was reformulated at one point, you can switch to green coolant if you’d like to but you need to get every last drop out. I’ve got Dex in my Escalade, Silverado and previous Tahoe and never had an issue, always changed it out when it should be.

There were issues early on with it but that was the 90's I think. I've had no issues with it in my 00 burb and it's got 260k miles. Only cooling related things I've done have been a water pump and 2 radiators

Cool thanks for clearing that up guys.
I think when I replaced the radiator in my 01 Tahoe I got concentrate dexcool and distilled water and mixed those 50/50 should I do that with the denali or just get the premixed stuff? I'm gonna do a flush soon now that its starting to disappear. I'm thinking about a new thermostat while in at it too
I’ve always used the pre mixed stuff, when we’re the radiator hoses done last?

Probably never. It only has 105k on it
Looking good! Some of us have completely destroyed drivers seats lol.
Might be something to consider if your doing a coolant change
