Want to get some cross rails for the roof rack (why don’t they come with the vehicle???!)
Are these hard to install, and is there a good (cheaper) off brand. OEM are pricey!

This is the 2015+ section , just wasn't mentioned in your post. I would check Ebay for a less expensive price if you want OEM or see if there are any after market ones. Easy to install, only four bolts on each bar. Make sure you follow the directions for installation. The reason they do not come with the vehicle is because they are considered an accessory so this gives GM an opportunity to make money like splash guards. trailer hitch, all weather floor mats and on and on.

Or check with gmpartsdirect.com. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I was able to get my dealer to price match the part cost and they did not look at shipping.

These two rails? I took mine off. Just two bolts on each side. How much are OEM ones? I'd consider selling mine but shipping might be an issue.

If James Tower doesn't get them, then I may be interested in them if they will fit my 2018 Yukon Denali. Which city and state are you in, if I may ask for shipping purposes? I'm in SW Michigan.

I'm in Florence, KY- 41042. No idea if they fit a Yukon or not. Mine's a 2016.

I got a certificate from COSTCO for half off on GMC parts for inquiring about new Yukons.
The local GMC dealer had a sale and took half off the sale price.
Still frustrating that they didn't come with the 2016 Yukon - The 2010 Tahoe had them included.
Same for the storage tray in the center console - found those on ebay for one fourth what GMC wanted.

The issue I have with the factory bars is the shape - you don’t get very good contact using clamp-on accessories. I have a Yakima Skybox 21 that we use for road trips and no matter how I adjusted the clamps the box would always slide left or right. I had to use a bunch of rubber hose washers to enhance the friction on the contact points.

May not be as big of a deal with other accessories, but something to think about. Aftermarket won’t look as as sleek, but they’ll be more functional/reliable.

I got OEM...cheap price on ebay ($100 or so). Easy install, even came with a little torque wrench allen tool. I find them very sturdy, hauling my kayak without issue.

Highly recommended.

I'd love to find OEM rails for $100. Cheapest I've been able to find them are more in the $175 range.

Hmmm...You could be right about the price... it's been a couple of years, and besides, Ive got "CRS".

Anyhow, it was an easy install, perfect fit, and they work well for me. Someone with a heavier load, say a 90# canoe or pirogue, or something, well YMMV.
