Picked up a center console 12" subwoofer and am loving it!

However, I never realized how much I actually use the OEM center console. It keeps a ton of my tools, all my coins (for parking meters), etc.

so this setup is back up for sale already lol

but from what I can tell, they're mostly custom made by DIY folk

might have to see if my dad knows anything about welding...

either way, super pumped to get home on Thursday and finally start knocking out some stuff in this vehicle!

Gonna be selling my Grey Captain's Seats and replacing them with Tan Bench Seats.

Really wanting to get some sort of roof rack with a ladder, like so:

mhmhmhmhmhm updates

subwoofer, amps, and 2nd row are out

but I'm playing with the idea of selling the truck and getting a Suburban or Yukon XL.

almost snatched up one in Chicago today with 87k original miles for $5500, but saw the ad just a bit too late!

might be a little bit before there are any significant updates on this vehicle or whatever new one I get

After looking at several Suburbans, I decided not to get one.

I'm pretty comfortable with the size of the Tahoe, and don't know that I'd really use the extra space of a suburban.

So back to updates!

Threw my new Bench Seats back in

Still haven't hooked up an amp to see if the new RCA's changed anything, but that should come soon

Already loving the look of it, even though the brush guard will cover most of it, I'll always know it's there!:angels2:

After the hood, it was time to swap from the pretty bald Silverado rims and tires, to the brand new 285/75/r16 Hummer H3 rims and tires.

The rims came from my dad's suburban, so I have to go hit them with some more plasti-dip, but I'll do that when I do the entire vehicle.

On the forecast for the next few days:

1) Install my amps again so I have sound
2) Install tow mirrors
3) Plasti-dip entire truck
4) Potentially pay to have my rear passenger window retinted. The little scratch bothers me a bit

That hood is just plain sexy! Changes the whole look of the Hoe.

So I may or may not have impulse bought a Suburban today.:signs1:

View attachment 198292

one owner, 99,000 original miles, zero rust, no issues that we're aware of yet

$5,000 cash, and I got it about 2 hours after it was posted to craigslist, super good luck

drove it home 3 hours and it rides beautifully ;)

and a new fleet picture from our family:

View attachment 198294

mom - 2004 Denali w/ 160k
dad - 2001 Suburban w/ 109k
sister - 1999 S10 Blazer w/ 150k
me - 2002 Tahoe w/ 178k
me - 2004 Suburban w/ 99k

First order of business will be to call out to some local tint shops and see if I can get that done.

Gonna be restoring the Tahoe to stock and putting it for sale for around $3k.

New build log here - http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/04-suburban-1500-project.103858/
Congratulations.

After probably 40 or so hours of work, I got the truck back to "stock" ish enough to sell I think.

Here was the very (mentally) painful task of removing the front tints :(

figured it would appeal to a bigger population of people if it didn't have the darkest tint in our state

for sale now, it looks like this:

That's the first thing everybody does is tint the front windows.
