Is this an alarm and remote start, I wonder how much it would be to add the iphone app. Ive got the compustar with the led screen right now, If I could get a good deal on the viper with the iphone app I would sell this one. To bulky for me, with the phone app I wouldnt even carry keys

you still have to, in case the app goes down (it does). Plus it doesn't do two way communication/notification.

thanks for the inside scoop on these alarms, i wanted one for a few weeks now but the price was holding me back a little. we are all putting a lot of $$$ into our vehicles and this is something that should be the first on the list.

a remote start as well as a decent alarm - mine was $124 to my doorstep...should be installed next weekend. if i dont do it this weekend.

Wished I would have gotten one, looked on ebay and found them for $198, smart start for $299 + you need the override interface for $79. Bestbuy wants $355 to install = $931. Yet if I buy it at Bestbut out the door is $833. Down side is I cant get it done till mid Feb at best. Not to many installers **** with Viper up here.

The re furbished have a 1-year warranty directly thru Viper and the only "issue" with refurbished is the remotes could be a little scratched up

I got the last one, $108 even as a refurb I couldnt let it go, for that price Ill risk it, I looking a an interface module for $36 will know later tonight if I got it. Ill buy the smart start at BestBuy and see how bad they screw me on the install unless I find someone else that can do it, right now the waiting list is 45 days. I have a compustar 2 way with an LED remote I will be selling once I get it out and the new one in. If anyones interested PM me with an offer and Ill send pics also. It wont have to be paid for till I get it out of my truck. I paid $360 for the kit and $60 for the transponder bypass. I got it 11 Sept. 2009. It will tell you the temp inside the vehicle and feedback on everything you do. I like it but I think the iPhone technoligy is way to cool.
