Thanks! Gotta say your 06’ is sick. I love how dark paint match front ends makes the headlights pop.

Hey thanks man. I look back at the beginning and see how much influence this forum had in getting the truck the way it looks today.

I love driving around in it for sure.

Black Friday provided me with some new tools, massive improvement for me.
No more wood blocks and finally a sturdy jack stand setup with a floor jack that can actually pick up one side at a time, versus only being able to pick up one corner at a time.

Also go a new shop stool on casters and a die grinder. Overall nothing too special but some very important pieces that should make life easier.

I say go for it. Add the HD front too. Would look beast.

Looks like you moved to a different house.

Yeah we moved here a little over a year ago. The place we were renting decided to sell, so we had to move and we decided to buy instead of renting again. It’s definitely one reason the truck hasn’t changed much in the past year or so.

And I think I have the new setup pinned down, it’s gonna take around 6 months to get all the pieces together. Gonna redo steering with Moog, fix oil pan gasket leak, value cover leak, both leaks are small but annoying, and put the lift on all at once. Then new wheels and tires followed by headlights/tails/HD front end/ and finally new paint. Just gonna take it slow and make sure it’s done right.

Incoming mods via superbrightleds

Got 4 of their pre-wired pods, and a couple different amber push through LEDs for my headlights.

Probably going to get the amber LEDs put in tonight. I know I am going to use 2 of the pods under the hood since I lost my factory under hood light. Not sure what I will do with the other 2, maybe do the lift gate mod or I could put them behind the grille. Options options.....

Haha hints the “afraid of the dark” tag, and honestly I love light, all the bulbs in my house are hand picked temps for the area they are in lol.

Are those the same led pods you ordered? I remember seeing how bright your liftgate was when I looked through the thread.

So I got the marker LEDs swapped out in the headlights.
I ordered 2 different kinds cause I wasn’t sure which would fit and look the best.

Here is what I ordered:
194-A4-90 - this is what I ended up using, they are awesome looking!

194-A-120 - these were brighter than the LEDs that came in the headlights but not as bright as the 194-A4s

These are both bulbs, the A4 is the brighter of the two.

The final results running the 194-A4-90.
The bottom amber light matches the top ones perfect in person.

Do you have to retrofit them into the headlight?

Found some more leaky things today haha. My steering box has been leaking for a while but it’s getting worse, better put it on the list to do.

It’s hard to see but there is a tiny bit of fluid and moisture right where the light is shining. Not sure where this fluid is coming from but it wasn’t there a couple days ago......let the search begin

I have projector headlights that came with 2 LED markers in them. I just swapped out the bulbs for a bigger brighter bulb.
Did you have to separate the light to swap the bulb?

More mail :Moon:! Got to say I’m over the top about the build at this point cause parts are showing up and it’s real lol.
I’m trying to stay calm but I’ve had this planned for 3 years and it’s finally coming together. But I am also enjoying the high since it’s been in the making for so long.

And for the mail:
Spohn adjustable Panhard probably put this in this weekend.
