OK, so random suspension problem here lately. It's been lowered nearly 4.5 years. Just about completely level when aired up in the back.

The last few weeks I've noticed that the rear is almost an inch to 1.5 higher when the comp shuts off. Sometimes it'll stay like that after parking, sometimes it'll deflate. There' s no certain times or instances that it does it. Very random.

Could the ride height sensors be failing?
Air shocks going bad??

I wish i could help, not real sure but id say your on the right track, sensors or a leak in the shock, or maybe the compressor is going bad, gotta be one of those general parts.

Compressor definitely works. I do see some oily fluid on the pass side shock

If it's higher 1.5 evenly on both sides I would think it's the sensor. If one shock was bad one side would be off. And both shocks never go out at once

That's what's also leading me to think sensors. Yes, it's evenly higher on both sides

Sensors makes sense, i just meant maybe it had a slight leak that is causing it to over inflate.

Rears equalize on both sides so if one shock is bad it can cause this.

Are you sure? What if I removed an auto ride link and decreased the length by half? It should only fill until it reaches the limit correct?

It's may give you a service suspension warning if the two sides are way apart.

Ok, so I replaced the autoride shocks. It seems now the compressor isn't working. I have checked any relays yet, but is it possible that I need to reset anything since replacing parts of the air ride system?

that would be some bad luck, I recently replaced both mine, as soon as I turned the key they aired right up, your not getting a cel? I would check to make sure the pump is getting power first, if so then maybe it just went out, I think you can manually power up the pump with 12v also to check operation.

Unless it's a fluke. Cause right after I changed em, it aired up. I also wanna say it worked a couple days maybe, but I'm. Not positive. And. Electrical dumb, so I won't be able to do that lol

I've ojll down both of them. There's no air at all in the bags right now. I unplugged the wiring to the shocks and dielectric greased them. Also

well if you don't have any other method you could always just buy a pump, plug it in and turn the key on, if the pump comes on you know that's what it was or not, if it doesn't then you can always just return it. saves paying a diagnostic fee somewhere. the dorman's aren't terribly expensive.

Maybe the pump was partially seized from lack of use or too much use and/or load, and then when presented with airtight bags to fill, that quickly finished it off? I'd check fuses first.

My bags are trashed and the fuse(s) feeding the compressor are blown. When I replaced the fuse to test the compressor, it never came on and the fuse popped about a second later. I'm betting, with the PO, the compressor ran too much trying to fill the leaking bags and now it's locked up. This was all done before I bought it so it died over 40,000 miles ago and I guess the PO never cared to do anything about it.

Easy now! Don't go all "@Rocket Man" on it!

I know there were two fuses, one of which I never would've guessed. If I could remember or find those fuse numbers, I'd tell ya.

look in the fuse section of the owners manual, it defines all the fuses for the most part, if you don't have a manual just google "online manual 2009 Yukon" (or whatever yours is) and it will be the first link direct from the gm website

I ended up finding 3 different fuses. Checked all of them and none appear to be popped.
