Fixed a couple steering wheel buttons. Really easy! 2 tools and about 5 mins...

The volume and source buttons were pretty worn out and they did not light up. New buttons for around $30. Replacing the bottom ones eventually and the gauge backlight...

Now that I can get the steering wheel and clock spring etc off in less than 15 mins I think I want to do a new steering wheel. Maybe something from Intro
Interesting. I love my wheel on the escalade. What kind of look are you going for?

Boom! BCM reflashed key relearn, and we are back in business! FYI, I had to remove my cluster and then plugged it back in 10 mins later. All warning lights came back on then did the relearn. So, $300 isn't bad for a repair. If it was 500+ I'd really be pissed!

Of course the rental car was another $100, but some of the numbers being thrown at me for this repair were outrageous and saved myself a few hundy not going to an independent and definitely not the dealer.

This is why I want to purchase a Tech2.

Dunno about a licensed one, but I may go for a clone. Some of the vette guys love theirs, https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c5-general/3852143-tech2-scanner-for-the-home-diyer.html

Pg15/16 talks about buying a 2-day subscription to get the latest software from GM to reflash modules. Not a bad deal and definitely better than $4k!
I needed my stuff pronto, otherwise I would have ordered my own.

Ghetto baller, need that wood wheel, Grant! Lol, a few years ago probably. Now, I dunno. I don't have steering controls so it probably won't be anything GM

although this color looks like an "old persons" ride in every other GM model, I have really taken a liking to this color on the Denali/Tahoes.

Pewter Metallic? really? i wish it was Black or Bermuda Blue. The pewter metallic/champagne color is one of my least favorite. But, the good thing is it doesnt show dirt or dust compared to dark colors. I cant wait to paint it

I was going to edit my post and say Bermuda Blue and Black have always been a favorite, but this color has grown on me over the last few years. Maybe I am getting old.

Replaced the blower motor on the Esky and took about the pass side dash vent to see why the selector wasn't working ended up having to order a new one

we are definitely getting old. its just my least favorite of the denali colors. and such a common color in general. i mean, its better than pink right? :)

Sick as always

thanks, G.I.B.!

This stance is looks fat and low. With the running boards and front spoiler is looks even lower. That wheel lip looks great as do the U bar headlights. Love it!!

i appreciate it man. just trying to catch up to you! You got one of the nicest NBS Tahoe's out here. So tastefully done

Looks really good. Bumper color match next?? :)
Don't know if I'm going to color match it just yet. Might just try to paint the chrome the same metallic gray.... will need a few cans of etching primer, do the front and rear bumpers, but I think it'll come out 'aight!

Gonna pull the roof rack and the six bars, do them all too.
