Thx.
Now I just need to do the Tahoe on the rear hatch and remove the Chevrolet. Too much of a pita to tape around

I’ve wanted to remove the Chevrolet on mine for a while, but afraid as old as it is I won’t be able to get all glue/tape off and would you still see the outline once removed. How do you recommend removing cleanly?

Some guys recommend using dental floss, and maybe a little heat from a hair dryer. Just saw back and forth behind the emblem with the floss and it'll come right off. I think it'll leave a shadow from the CHEVROLET tho. Especially on darker colored vehicles like yours and mine. I think over time the sun just fades the paint a little, thereby leaving the shadow. I'm not really sure if compounding, buffing or wet sanding will help. Anyone?

I used this today on my front bumper in my Express work van.

Didn't have the coarseness in it like Rhino liner does. This would probably work well on our running boards.

Use a hairdryer but don't hold it in place move it back and forth till it loosens up and moves around and use some dental floss the glue should easily rub off while it's warm, then use some goo gone to clean any residue, if needed buff it a lil bit depending on the outline that's left behind

The rubber seal has a metal frame inside that can't be crimped down to bite back down on the pinch weld. Did it to mine and my brothers Denali and it never came back off again.

Owe it to @ScottyBoy for showing me that trick :Handshake:

Thanks! I did this and applied a gasket adhesive also. It seems to be holding very well. I also must have had something that spilled on it previously as it seemed very sticky. A good cleaning fixed that problem thankfully so I was able to fix this for like $10 waay cheaper then replacing an otherwise perfectly good gasket.

I De-badged my Burban about 2-3 years ago. I used braided fishing line to get mine off. I used

That's funny, mine was sticky as hell too. LOL
It looked like sticky brown syrup type of stuff, probably a soda or something that was spilled years ago. But I used some Adam's All Purpose Cleaner and got it all clean.
Oh, and I got your fan harness today brother. :Handshake:

I've begun upgrading my headlights...again. I ordered some LED fogs and low beams, and if I like those, I'll get the highs and the DRLs.

Fogs came today, and I really like them. They're bright and a nice color.

These are the lows I ordered:

I have the same lows. I like them, but one blew out recently, which they replaced.

Monofilament. I have taken badges off just by parking them in the sun, but a heat gun will really make life easier.

After that, eraser wheel if you didn’t get all the glue off.

Hit it with an AIO, or some cleaner wax, or some polish. Should blend everything. I took all my badges and trim off a 12 year old black truck with bad paint and have next to no holograms or outlines.

When I De-badged my truck, I used braided fishing line, some Goo-Gone, and an eraser wheel on a drill. And I used them in that order. Then I polished that area with some polishing compound and some finishing polish, and the outline on the paint completely disappeared.
And the braided fishing line worked GREAT because it has some texture to it, so it's better for sawing back and forth on the foam mounting tape.
Here is a before and after picture of mine De-badged.

Don't be alarmed, but there's a midget breaking into your house.
